It's fantastic. Everything I wanted iPhone to be.
I also call BS on their claim a face is more unique than a finger print, how often do hear I seen someone that looks just like you.
I have always thought finger prints are all different
The S8 only has 2D recognition that can be beaten by a photo. Did you even watch the keynote?
$1000. $1000 for a bloody smartphone that doesn't do anything better than a 6s.
THIS. THIS SO EFFING HARD.
That implementation looks beautiful! I hope they can mimic it later via software update sometime later on.
I don't care, I'm excited for it.
Nice phone although the camera bar notch is pretty ugly. The hyperbole was a bit much this time around, however. I don't see anything particularly revolutionary about iPhone X. It's a great phone and Face ID is compelling new tech, but defining the next decade of smart phone development? Really?
Everything announced today was a clear step forward, but I didn't find anything particularly revolutionary or exciting.
My 6 Plus just became even more valuable to me and my use cases.
they had to follow microsoft's lead and skip the 9, maybe it is a computer geek omen to use a 9
Going to be confusing having different sets of gestures for the two phone lines.
Really stumped they didn't offer an iPhone X Plus. Maybe next year...
Maybe iPhone XI will get rid of the black notch.
same here .. definitely not a fan of the notch.. i would've prefered a longer devices the keep the screen flat accross ..IMO
Think of it as a tax. Wealth distribution to Apple shareholders.
Really underwhelmed by iPhone X... all the tech is cool individually but it doesn't gel. It's a lot of compromises. Almost like a handful of tech demos duck taped together into a phone.
Here's hoping for 11 they sort it out.
Fail ID made me cringe. Uh oh...
iPhone X looks great. Of course MR forum users **** all over it like they do for every single Apple device ever.
What an amazing amount of "Meh" for Apple.
Wow, that's actually really nice.
I think we can all agree on one thing.
The biggest innovation of iPhone X is to combine a black front with a white back.
We would have had this phone 3 or 4 years ago if Steve Jobs was still alive.
It isn't about being unique, its about how well the sensor can differentiate fingerprints. Everyone is unique but the differences can be THAT subtle.
Have to hold out for ProMotion. It's got to be coming at some point, right?
Glad to see Apple has their priorities straight. Focusing their time and attention on face gesture-activated emojis was obviously a prudent use of their resources, much like the emoji touchbar on the MacBook Pros no one asked for...
Apple's innovation as of late reminds me more and more of a poop emoji.
