Sucks about the accessories tho. If you want a Apple case then that's $49 for Smart Cover and $69 silicone case. Not even leather at all. I will probably get this at a second hand spot when it all dies down. No rush and no threat to my iPad Air 2

Am I the only one not seeing an LTE option???
I didn't see it either. Could be offered at a later date.

More graphics power than an XBOX? Are gaming consoles now in the Apple cross-hair? Sounds right to me.
More graphics power than an XB360.o_O Damn well better be more powerful than 11 year old tech.
I like the upgrades though. Just enough bling to make some want it. iPad fans should be reasonably happy.

Nice device. Might consider one for my daughter heading off to college this fall. She keeps wanting to steal my 12.9" iPad Pro so she can play with the Pencil.

I still prefer my 12.9" device and higher resolution screen. The bigger model got a 256GB option (it's up on the Apple Store currently) though I probably still would have bought the 128GB has it been an option back in November. I still have around 40GB free.

Need some advice. I'm selling my iPad Air 32GB for $235. The 1GB of memory has limited its usefulness since iOS 9 came out. My two options: get an Apple refurbished Air 2 64 GB for $419 or get the new 9.7" Pro 128GB. I mainly use for consumption and some remote access type work. Is the $300+ difference worth it?

Phil loves to perpetuate the idea that an iPad is going to replace people's computers. We don't really live in a post-PC era.

Not a $600 iPad...

Plus, Apple would have to add mouse/pointing device support (like Android) and they won't do that - I personally hate putting my hand and fingers in front of the desktop/laptop screen...

Tim, stop reading MR website to take and recreating it to become your "innovation." Sometimes I feel like Tim reads the news and comments and goes "hey guys lets do this!"

Same here if the RAM is 4 gig. I can find no mention of ram and if it is the same as an iPad Air 2....then I will set this product cycle out.

Hello everyone!

Should I buy this? I really want an iPad since the first one came out, but I never had the money for it. Now I can afford the 32GB version of the 9.7" Pro. I'm a video and photo editor so I could use an iPad for my work/hobby too, should I go for it?

Gorrammit. They may have hooked me with the display improvement. The iPad Air 2 display really looks blah compared to Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book. None of the other improvements are all that interesting, though, and the pencil and keyboard are non-starters.

An ipad will always be an ipad. It will never be a laptop or pc replacement. Who is Apple trying to convince here?

My ipad air 2 is currently collecting dust on my shelf because of the 12in macbook. I don't ever use the ipad anymore

The IPP replaced my 12-inch MacBook. Never say never whatever you do.

Many folks I know also do. They are sick and tired with dealing with corrupt file systems, trying to locate documents, and are sick of dealing with MS Windows. Look, the technology world expands many generations now, and I am happy that we have so many different options to choose from. The iPad has opened up stress free "Post-PC" world to the majority of users, outside the tech-geek bubble.
