I really don't get why Gurman would share last minute 'info' about no improvements in sound and/or anc. Surely he must realise how unrealistic that was?

My guess is he either made it up or was given bad info from someone at Apple to mislead or troll him.

I wonder if these will finally fit my ears better with the new foam tips and slight redesign. APP 2 always slowly worked their way out. I used Beats Fit Pro instead as they are rock solid with the wingtip. But I'd like the APP case design.
The better ANC could just be from the foam tips providing better passive isolation
Excited about an even better transparency mode. The talk on hearing yourself means they probably improved an already market leading occlusion effect cancellation even further. will make calls feel very natural and for people using them as hearing aids

Doesn’t mean they have a H2 chip, doesn’t mean they do.
From the little they said and showed, the audio improvements mightn’t be digital processing - it might be improvements to the speakers, mics, their placement, as we’ll as the new tips.
If the translation engine to be used for live translation is Apple's genuine one, I won't use the live translation.
I think the better ANC and transparent are the semi-form tips and mics. Don’t know if they’re better mics or just far better placement, but that would help with both transparency and better quality on phone calls. It also might make the Live Translation more reliable (clearer input).
The better battery life is a win.
Again, wait for hands on review, but so far these and the AW SE3 seem like solid upgrades.

From David Carnoy (CNET), me and more than a few on this forum, we have been asking Apple for an XL** tip because the large doesn't seal properly. So Apple doubles down on another smaller (XXS) tip. Well, guess I'm sticking with my Soundcore buds... they offer an XL tip, and it seals wonderfully.

If I were a rumourmonger, I’d say some of the presenting roles were switched at thr last minute because of, ……. and so some of the presenters were thrown in at the deep end.
Couldn’t watch the presentation. This is a long shot, but I suppose no mention about how Transparency Mode behaves with heavy wind? This is my main grief with every single earphone device available

Price starts at $250. I thought $250 was expensive already. $150 seems reasonable. But then, I'm not friends with Timmy.
