It is available for 2 as well as per documentation.Live translate looks very good.
Wonder if that'll be available for my Airpods pro 2, of if I _have to_ upgrade...

I have over-ear cans with ANC that are obviously way better,
Oh nice. I doubt I would ever use it. However, I like to think I’m getting closer to the universal translator from Star Trek.It is available for 2 as well as per documentation.
Doesn’t mean they have a H2 chip, doesn’t mean they do.
From the little they said and showed, the audio improvements mightn’t be digital processing - it might be improvements to the speakers, mics, their placement, as we’ll as the new tips.
The chip has to be new if ANC and sound quality improved. Unless it’s called H2X like Apple calls their new modem C1X instead of C2?
The web site says it comes with an H2 chip. It also lists Live Translation as being available for the AirPods Pro 2 as mohitster pointed out:

I currently have an AirPods Pro 2. Very torn about ordering the 3. What do you guys think for AirPods Pro 2 owners, particularly with the rumors of an AirPods Pro 4 a year from now? That seems pretty unlikely to me, but it wouldn't be the first time I've been surprised.
Bowers & Wilkins Px8. I've compared them to most of the other high end units at my local and very helpful HiFi shop. To my ears, the overall sound quality is unmatched by any of the other big names: Sony, Apple, Bose, Sennheiser, B&O. I'd say Bose might edge them on ANC, but it's marginal and the number of times I'm in a noise environment where I'd notice that difference are minimal, compared to noticing the better audio all the time. Also, when the Px8 are plugged in to charge they enumerate as an audio device over USB, meaning you can then listen to much higher bandwidth audio streams than you would be able to over BLE, albeit at the expense of being plugged in.Which do you use?
(in the market)
From David Carnoy (CNET), me and more than a few on this forum, we have been asking Apple for an XL** tip because the large doesn't seal properly. So Apple doubles down on another smaller (XXS) tip. Well, guess I'm sticking with my Soundcore buds... they offer an XL tip, and it seals wonderfully.
** after market foam tips don't work because - due to Apple's case - they can only create large size tips.
I’d say wait until your air pods pro 2 die or get lost (but I hope they don’t). Your APP2 haven’t magically got worse just because APP3 have been announced. The web site says it comes with an H2 chip. It also lists Live Translation as being available for the AirPods Pro 2 as mohitster pointed out:

Came back here to see if anyone was talking about this. I would think so? 57 means they can be in water up to 1m for 30 minutes. That's what the 7 means. But will it sound any good? They have openings for air so that the drivers can operate properly. IDK how that works, but I know the speakers on my iPhone and Apple Watch don't sound great after a dunk until they've dried out. For me, after I work out at the gym I sometimes like to hit the hot tub, so while I won't be sticking my head under, it's nice to know that if someone makes a big splash or they somehow fall out (less likely now with the new tips and angled design) they'll be fine. Wouldn't have worn them in before, so this is nice that I can listen to a podcast or something while I recover.IP57… so you might be able to swim laps with them? 🤔 that’d be lovely
Chances are very good. Most everyone has a cell phone and earbuds of some sort, so adoption iPhone and AirPods is very high. Smartwatch use is nowhere near.I don’t get what the point of the heart rate sensor. If you’ve got an iPhone AND AirPods, what are the chances you don’t have an Apple Watch?!
Indeed. I'm truly struggling to justify upgrading from my APP1s even.Keep using your APP2 and buy some foam tips.
Instant ANC upgrade.
Airpod product cycles are long ... get APP3 when you actually need to replace your APP2
Very dicey, to me, that they compare the ANC to the originals instead of to the latest models.
"Up to 4x more Active Noise Cancellation than original AirPods Pro"

I'm still using the Pro 1, so I will probably bite on this upgrade. ANC in the 1 is far from perfect, but also far better than none, so 4X or anything close to it sounds amazing. Battery life and ear fit were probably my 2 other biggest complaints (neither stopped me from using the hell out of them) and they improved those as well. Plus USB-C on the charging case so I can finally ditch all the Lightning cables. Win, win, win, win.Better ANC,better battery, heart sensor , better sound quality....
so better on all things
So this is better 2>3 than was 1>2
So both Kuo and Mark were wrong as xxxx
the price apple sells them at is a price increase. $169 is what we're used to lolNo price increase as well.
Small mercies.
Ha, good point. That's my last lightning port! I just use a puck these days though.I'm still using the Pro 1, so I will probably bite on this upgrade. Fair point. And, yes, I already pre-ordered!They also compare them to the AirPods Pro 2 - "Up to 2X more Active Noise Cancellation than AirPods Pro 2"
