The new AirPods Pro 3 are absolutely amazing. They even have a heart rate sensor. I want that! 🤣 Wait, why do they even have a heart rate sensor? If I don’t work out, I don’t really need to know that. Oh, I get it now. Apple just wants more data about me! More data for Tim to sell. 🤑

Are you taking something? Time for a nice cup of tea and a chill out :) The new AirPods Pro 3 are amazing, and you need to be a bit more chill :)

They mentioned now coming with 5 sizes of tips. I hope they have one that is larger than the large size in the past.

There are those of us who are large humans. I am 6'6" and about 270lbs. I have NEVER had a good seal on the original air pod pros or the Pro 2's. I tend to default to another headset for better quality sound.

Overall good improvements. Good to see Apple maintaining the same price. ANC improvements are very welcome.

Couldn’t watch the presentation. This is a long shot, but I suppose no mention about how Transparency Mode behaves with heavy wind? This is my main grief with every single earphone device available
oh yeah I would love an improvement on this, it's the only annoying thing on my Pro 2, especially when cycling.

The better ANC could just be from the foam tips providing better passive isolation

Excited about an even better transparency mode. The talk on hearing yourself means they probably improved an already market leading occlusion effect cancellation even further. will make calls feel very natural and for people using them as hearing aids

Almost certainly a big part of it (or all of it).

Foam tips totally changed and improved my APP2

The OG silicone ones sit in a drawer.

I wasn’t going to upgrade this year, but I dropped both my Pro 2’s into a mug of coffee last week and since then people can’t understand what I’m saying on phone calls and the noise cancellation doesn’t work any more.

I don’t really come in contact with anyone who doesn’t speak English.
I rarely come into contact with anyone not speaking English (or Norwegian), but just a few months ago, Mrs. M and I was on a trip to Germany, to seek out some (potential) relatives of her, and in that situation this would have been gold.

My German is really basic, barely good enough for ordering beer, and not at all good for a whole, free ranging conversation.

And the Germans we visited spoke little to no English.

So, we got by...ish with a mix of English/German/Norwegian, but I guess we lost quite a lot "in translation", and a seamless Live Translation of sorts would probably have been awesome... :)

You can pretty much get the new ear tips (with the foam) and put them in Airpods Pro 2 and get all the noise canceling benefits. Same H2 chip 💀

Agreed ... my favorite have been these:

I wonder if the Airpods Pro 3 will have the same limitation as the Powerbeats Pros in terms of heart rate monitoring. With the Powerbeats, you can't listen to music if you are utilizing the heart rate monitoring (such as if you are not wearing an apple watch). The presentation didn't address this issue.

almost certain that won't be possible; knowing Apple, they will have tweaked something just a bit to prevent this

I think their point is that just changing from silicone to foam tips is providing a lot of benefit on the NC side of things.

That's why so many APP1/2 owners have done it forever.
