We all know what aperry meant by <marketed>, honestly. No need to say anything else.
They're marketing is freeking amazing, and I say that with complete sincerity.

...or pay $60 a month for a cell phone plan. Or $1100 a month for an apartment. It's funny reading all these comments about not paying $10 a month for the service but the same individuals probably stop at Starbucks everyday to get themselves sh!tty coffee for $7.

Here is the major news that is being skipped in all the hype from the verge:
The Apple Music library is very different from the iTunes store. And that's a critical distinction; what you're not getting is an all-you-can-eat listening feast that pulls in everything iTunes has to offer. If that were the case, that 30 million figure would balloon to an enormous figure. So the iTunes store and regular old music purchases remain a significant piece of the puzzle. Apple describes it as "the heart" of everything, because without iTunes, this catalog would look awfully similar to Spotify's.
so can u still play anything u want or just stuff it thinks u may like based on what u listened to from your own library? too much focus on the radio part, i am confused
I have no idea what Apple Music is. Do they want me to pay $10 a month for radio? I have no idea what the one more thing is.
No, Radio is just one component of Apple Music. You can stream any song available in iTunes.
No, according to the Apple Music web page the two services are separate and "complementary".Do I get a discount with iTunes Match? If not I think I'll cancel iTunes Match and just get Apple Music
...or pay $60 a month for a cell phone plan. Or $1100 a month for an apartment.
10 bucks a month is a drop in the bucket for most adults that earn their own money. People tend to focus a lot on the small expenses and totally forget about the really big ones like a house or a car.
Heck, I could pay for 100 Apple Music or Spotify subscriptions every single month year round and it would still amount to less than what I have pay just to have an apartment. Is less than 1/100th of my fixed monthly expenses worth it to get access to 30 million songs? Oh yes.
Macrumors confirmed that users will be able to save songs and playlists locally. It's on the front page as I write this. And no mention of offline caching? What a garbage presentation.

Eddy Cue said "millions and millions of songs"... Good god how many do you need??Unfortunately, this is false. Not ANY song. Just a very big chunk of them. Apple never once mentioned you'd be able to stream any song you could find on iTunes.
She was shown during the keynote. Not presented, but shown in the the top artist list. Spotify definitely took notice to that since they lost Taylor Swift. But will Taylor Swift be included?

Zane said he was broadcasting to 100 countries, so the radio bit at least isn't just US.
Does this replace iTunes Radio? That was free! Also, I'm still not sure about the value of streaming vs purchasing, but perhaps if I had a better signal everywhere I go - including aeroplanes - I might change my mind.
You can play any song from the iTunes library. He has no idea what he's talking about.Reading through the FAQs it says, "unlimited listening from the Apple Music library", which I thought they were re-branding the music part of iTunes as Apple Music. I think it would be a fair assumption to believe it would be pretty much whatever is on iTunes (Apple Music), but I guess we'll all find out during our free trial. It would be pretty lame otherwise.

I don't know whether it's the absolute worst, but it's the first I can remember with no hardware announcements. I really like the improvements to OS X and iOS. That for me was the best part of the keynote (which was an unusually long 2.5 hours!). But Apple Music ... meh. I'm not sold on it. I thought it was interesting that Cue didn't announce the price till the very end; up till that point, they all made it sound as if it was simply taking the place of iTunes Radio. I started thinking that it would be free on any Apple device. THAT would have been huge!
Wait, what? Sorry for being dense, but are you saying that if I get iTunes match, apple uploads my whole catalog of songs (the ones bought through iTunes and the ones bought on Amazon or pirated) and it will give me the 256Kbps version of those songs it finds in their library? And if I cancel iTunes match, the 256Kbps versions will be mine to keep? What am I missing here? Thanks in advance.Because Apple has been doing that for $25/year since 2011.
Just point us to where it says iTunes is being rebranded to Apple Music. Otherwise I think it's safe to say these are two separate libraries. This is logical because: a) it's widely understood that many artists are not on board with streaming, b) Apple would be the first to explicitly state that this new offering includes the entire iTunes library, and they haven't.
