iWatch for lefties?

I didn't hear it in the announcement... but is the new Apple Watch only made for right-handed people?

You give me a ugly watch instead of a Apple TV app store!!!!

Cookie you give me a ugly watch instead of a Apple TV app store!!!! One of the features is using the watch as a remote for the old 2010 apple tv interface! Apple would have made more money with an Apple tv app store than the few that will purchase this watch. Yes its cool but only as a novelty and many will find it easier to use there phone. I would love to develop for the Apple TV but cookie is busy waisting money on thug headphones and 1980s calculator watches do something people really want. BOOOOOOOOO COOKIE BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

My only complaint with this great new product....

I'm left handed and I wear my watch on my right hand. Using the digital crown would require me to reach across the screen.

Wouldn't you just turn it 180 and flip the screen in the settings?

It's hideous!

I'm a strong advocate for Android and I'm a Note 3 owner. I fully disagree with you. What I've seen so far from Android OEM's are garbage compared to this watch. Moto 360 may be sexy round but it uses old tech, has crappy battery life and it lags. Don't forget the flat tire face design. The options for the Apple watch looks impressive and it's worth the $100 over the moto 360.
But I'm more disappointed with the iPhones. Over priced for what's been on Android for over a year. Many phones have similar to better features for much cheaper. $300 for a 16GB iPhone on contract is just too much. $400 for the increase in size is crazy.

no talk about battery life, huh?

Thats because there is no battery life:D

On the face of it, it looks amazing and it certainly does a lot, very functional and well crafted... but then you compare it to the Moto360 and it instantly looks like a childs toy.

I really want to see one in the flesh.

Fail: Paired to a hand cellphone

I was disappointed by the event. What innovations were announced? No 4K video. Is it waterproof?

I was hoping the iWatch would not need to be PAIRED to a hand cellphone.(That would really be innovative. LG and MOTO 360 watches also need to be paired unfortunately.)

If the iWatch is so smart why does it need an iPhone?

The reasons there are 1,000 of watch designs out in the wild, is because very few people have the same design taste. For everyone to expect Apple, Samsung, Motorola to produce one single device the entire world likes, is fully unrealistic.

I personally like the design of this and the 360. Since I run phones from both camps, I plan on testing them both out in person before I spend my money on one.

c'mon now folks, reign in those lofty expectations...

To all of the "it's not round!" nay-sayers: of course it was going to be square! A round face is too limiting of a surface area when you consider the watch's usefulness beyond merely displaying the time, never mind all the other ecosystem integration Apple has to consider with bringing in this new product line. Sheeesh.

Since its digital, you might be able to wear it upside down and it rotates.

I hadn't thought of that. It would have been nice if they had shown that. And made a point about inclusiveness for lefthanders. Apple is all about inclusion after all.... :)

What really blows me away about this watch is how many different styles/combinations there are for a V1 product. Just looking at the classic stainless steel page on Apple's website and there's 18 different combinations you can chose from. I can only imagine how many SKU's Apple's going to have to maintain with this product.

Dissapointed it didn't have the sensors that was rumored. And yes, I know they were rumors. However, for a device to be championed as much as a fitness watch as much of an accessory to the iphone it should have had more than just the heat rate monitor. For $349 I can get soo much more out of a high tier polar watch than this. Plus, everything else this thing does the iphone does. Was expecting something more from apple.

It's not bad, needs to be thinner (which it will be in the future, obviously). Wish they had centered the crown on the watch, I think the offset crown detracts from the elegance of it. That also would have allowed for a button on each side of the crown, if necessary. The crown could have even been larger, IMO, considering how important it is to operating the watch (but I'll reserve judgement on that until I can use one).

I don't like the idea of a watch that you have to tilt your wrist to see the time and plug in daily to charge.
Might be interested in one for fitness, but not for that price and I suspect it won't be as good as my Garmin + cheststrap for accuracy.

Wow can they make the watch any more uglier? If you do a search on "Apple watch", just about any one of the fake concept pictures looks better. I actually though the iPad Nano on a watch belt looks pretty good comparing to the Apple watch.

All this does is prevent you from taking one second to pull the iPhone out of your pocket to do almost all the advertised tasks better. It seems like a solution looking for a problem.

I get in and out of my car all day. Each time, when I want to Siri for directions, I have to reach in and grab my phone. Having my directions on my wrist, will make the process effortless.

I will be able to download my audiobooks, and they will be with me and controllable without reaching into my pocket. I'll be able to pay at stores and restaurants without having to reach into my pocket.

The effort of reaching into my pocket is small but not having the distraction is huge. It's that type of integration that makes Apple products great.

So glad so many people in here dislike it. Less competion when released.
However I have a feeling most people on here say one thing then do another.
