iPad will ship in additional countries later this year.

During the keynote on januari 27 Steve Jobs said "worldwide release in 60 days" so this is just full of fail.

Apple, you are about to lose a long time customer...

Unless you're a developer waiting to test your application on the real device (in which case I can understand the frustration), I don't see what the big deal is...

Are you saying you won't buy it because it's released a bit later than announced ?

Isn't Norway within driving distance to Germany?
Not really. I'm just a two hour flight from London, though... so either that, or getting one from some US retailer that ships to Europe (like we did when the iPod minis came out in the US 6 months before Norway), might be ways to get it early if the urge gets too strong... ;)

I'm sorry but I find that statement unbelievable, you would seriously not buy an iPad just because you have to wait a few weeks more than you intended?!?

I'm not seeing the "attach" option/button in the mail client, buddy:

Choosing a file to email from within in app is a poor solution, plus you won't be able to attach more than one type of file (like a photo and word processing document).

I wonder what top left most icon does. It looks like a folder with a plus sign.

So now the launch date is April 3 in the US, does that still mean the iPad will go on sale at 6:00 PM on the east cost like they had originally said it would. Or is that now out the window as well.

This is great news! I'll be reserving a 32gb iPad next week and I can arrange for pickup at the store on day 1 so I don't have to wait in those ridiculous lines. THANK YOU APPLE!

Ebay

How much do you think these iPads are going to sell for on ebay after the launch???

who cares? they could NEVER release this thing for all I care. I doubt there needs to be a preorder for this. I'm sure it won't sell out. It's not like it's something we haven't seen before. If I wanted to throw 4-500 hundred dollars down the drain I would go 2 a strip club.

Actually, even that would be a better use of my hard earned money.

I'm guessing a 10-15% premium - which is about what Wii consoles go for right now.

I think they are going to sell well over that... when the iPhone was released each version, I sold a extra phone for over 100% mark up, paying for my personal phone.

Why don't you hire a lawyer and sue them for hurting your feelings?

Sheesh :D

I am sure apple will understand that you just have are going to go out and buy one of the many alternative products out there......

Which $500 multi touch tablet are you going to buy?

Well, I've booked my flight from the UK to NYC for the 2nd, lets hope it will let me pre-order from the UK for store pickup in the SOHO store, and that they let me buy more than one :)

Fanboi, Moi? :-D

see what I mean people flying from the UK to NY! They will surely pay double on ebay for a iPad... So the question still is how much will these tablets sell on ebay for the day after release?? We will see.....

no... "people" do not fly from the UK to buy iPads. self-indulgent, insignificant, privileged mites with extremely flawed priorities fly from the UK to buy iPads.

you can keep the dream alive, but no one in their right mind is going to pay double for an iPad from eBay.

I don't really give a crap about any other country. it's irrelevant to my needs and my life. Why should I care whether or not Uzbekistan gets an iPad the same day as me? Call me egocentric, but the only thing I care about is when I can get my hands on my iPad. I could care less about you, my neighbor, or the rest of the world for that matter. :D

It's an AMERICAN company.

I imagine you believe that Jesus is from USA. Of course, he spoke English.
I imagine you think that you can only see the moon from the USA. Do you have a shotgun at your home?
I hope I never have to meet someone like you.

Just for the record

If Apple didn't sell its products outside of the USA, perhaps that you couldn't have your iPad. Perhaps that there is a iPad because Apple is an international company.

Do you mean you couldn't care less? Surely if you could care less, that means you do care about it now? If you don't care at all now, you can't care any less can you?

I know, the economics are less than favorable for the 3G vs the WiFi, but where I see it working for me is when my wife and I are on a road trip, she drives, I surf.
I can't do that with WiFi.
I can also surf at the beach or a park as long as there is 3G connectivity.
Lastly, I have noticed that "free" WiFi hotspots can be slower than 3G on my 3G iPhone (no xp with 3GS), I assume that this is because many freeloaders splitting the bandwidth of the hotspot?
Its the old adage; "you get what you pay for"

The other upside is I get to hear how folks are doing with the WiFi version and see if there are any execution errors coming out of the gate.

I know I will be lusting after all those WiFi iPads while I wait, but for my uses, I think it is time well spent.

To all of you WiFi Easter iPad adopters, good luck and enjoy! :)

+1. Same is true for my intended use and observation of easter weekend adopters before 3G arrival. It's the perfect travel companion for the Mrs. and me. We've got a trip planned for Alaska this summer and looking forward to bringing the iPad 3G along with us.

A holiday in NYC with the possibility of a great toy?
You sir know how to enjoy spending money!

If they are sold out at release I am almost sure they will sell for double on ebay, there are a lot of stupid people with a lot of money.
