UK version gets delivered via standard post so wonder will they post it on the 28th or a couple days before.

I bet the admins of this board really despise release news, considering they have many threads to merge/delete/modify....

I wish companies wouldn't screw us in the UK over exchange rates. $29 US, £25 UK ($41 at current exchange rate)

I like popping into the Apple store after work. They always have plenty of copies so you are guaranteed to get it then and you also have the buzz of an Apple product launch....

Yay for the news but I'm still bummed on the disc/box art. I don't get why they all of sudden changed it and broke away from the "X" theme...whatever. The current art looks like a wallpaper from Windows 98.

Just spoken to someone on the apple store website and she said that in the UK it would be shipped on the 28th and to allow 5-7 business days - dont know how standard post could take that long but going by how bad the delivery service was for my macbook I wouldnt be surprised - may as well just purchase it in store.

And, they are not doing discounts on Snow Leopard - i just went through the employee purchase programme store and its the only thing in the entire store that is not discounted - i know its pretty cheap for a new OS but still.

And, since when did $29 US convert to £25 ?! Thanks Apple!

I was just about to order a macbook pro, do you think if I wait untill friday it will be shipped with the snow leopard OS installed?

thanx

Yeah 29€ is also 41$. Daylight robbery!

Thank the VAT for that. Apple's take is about the same, despite the higher price tag. That is why politicians love VATs. It's an "invisible" tax as opposed to the regular "sales tax" in the U.S. which shows up as a separate line prior to the grand total cost.
