Anything with a hinge I am suspect of. Impressive device for sure, engineering seems incredible. I just don't see how I wouldn't destroy one.

I can’t lie… I’m glad I didn’t wait and sprung for the Galaxy Fold8 instead. Especially factoring in the 25% added weight comparatively and the fact that the Duo is still another 6 weeks away.

But for a gen 1 product, it seems pretty solid! And it’s priced fairly. I don’t personally like the asymmetrical design however. So I’ll be sitting this one out and sticking with the Air as my iOS device of choice.🙏🏼

Andddd just like I thought. Apple rolls a foldable, suddenly it's not as "useless" or "solution in search of a problem" as everyone said.

I myself, will be a day 1 preorder, as I have always said.

The entire product demo shows just how little a folding phone offers. Video while texting someone. Comparing websites (lol). A built in stand (lmao). Some multitasking features. There is just so little it adds and all of it pretty much done better with a tablet.

Tell me you’re running out of ideas without telling me you’re running out of ideas. Apple definitely peaked in 2020.

The regression to Touch ID is such a step down. Face IDs speed and seamless integration and greatly improved security is a real loss.

Edit: I see the pricing now on their website. Only 24 month term, $57.99/mo. That's not bad, my current iPhone Pro is $57/mo on the older iPhone Upgrade Program.

Strange that they mentioned Apple Upgrade pricing for the iPhone Pro, but not for the iPhone Duo. I know the preorder isn't until October 23rd, so maybe we'll get more details closer to that date, but I want to know if they will offer a 36 month term. If not, I'll just get the iPhone Pro. Basically I just want to keep my monthly payment about the same coming off iPhone Upgrade.

I was mostly set on getting the Pro before this event, but they really outdid themselves with the iPhone Duo. I love the upgraded iOS experience, and how they really thought through carefully all the different ways you can use it. I'm very impressed.
