The evidence is your post, which I have already quoted and said how it supports my conclusion, you're just choosing to ignore that fact. My conclusion is justified as another member of the forum also pointed it out to you....

Given you did not quote me, you are now lieing . You actually made an assumption , having miscomprehended my posts, hence are ignoring my request to provide proof to support you conclusion , childish.

Let's agree to disagree on your conclusion and end this.

This keynote made it obvious that Apple has absolutely no ideas for their products anymore. Opening basic apps for developers, some emojis, and a few design changes.

They shout out loud "no more thing ever".

Lg and Samsung will bring bendable phones that will make apples portfolio obsolete. It will kill Apple Watch, the iPhones, and the small iPads.

Google and Microsoft are miles ahead in points of voice recognition and translation, what will be the next big thing. Your bendable watch will make it convenient to communicate everywhere with everyone in any language.

Apple just comes around with some nineties stuff like gymnastics, just labels it as health. Nobody cares.

Apple will die slowly, iOS 10 will probably be the last iOS. Microsoft is the new Apple. And Google gets the market.

Please help me understand what consumer benefit a bendable screen brings me, or anyone for that matter? I'm not exactly following your logic of how a bending screen allows communication with everyone everywhere in any language.

Does making the screen bend create some sort of a global communicator device that actively translates into every language and broadcasts and receives communication with everyone, everywhere?

Gosh, if that's the case, LG and Samsung are miles, decades, or centuries ahead of everyone. This is really out of this world technology - like they have gotten a hold of some extraterrestrial technologies to enable this.

Now that I know this, I am rethinking about the benefit of getting a Samsung curved screen tv, because that must be part of this new technology, giving me access to everyone everywhere. How fantastical. Life of good.

My original reply to you quoted you, which you then replied to, or are you saying that post does not exist? Additionally you've resorted to name calling.

I'm not wasting space on the forum to basically repost my original post. Also, as stated, I'm not the only one that made the same comment.

I've been asking you to quote me, but you don't know what that means.

quote
kwəʊt/
verb
  1. 1.
repeat or copy out (words from a text or speech written or spoken by another person).

You don't understand what a quote is ;)

I'm starting to think you don't. My original reply clearly quoted your post that I was replying to, using the quote tags. That's the whole point of a quote function on the forum, to keep the original in context. Or do you not understand how a forum and quoting works?

https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...cations-and-more.1977118/page-8#post-23010040 If that's not you being quoted then it seems like reality is simply being ignored.

You're asking me to quote you again, even tho I did it in my original reply?!

Correction. I did not see the bottom quote, I failed to expand the window , As I said , I'll admit when I'm wrong , you did quote both of them.

You conclusion is still incorrect. So since your bought into than C DM do you care to explain why shandymans conclusion is correct in his reply to me?

No need I saw my mistake below . I admit it.

Given one was on the demographic that Apple is targeting , and the other me hating recieving emoji ...... Hello mcfly ;)

A ridiculous conclusion.

You might want to re-read what I posted before defending this stance mate. I'll assume you have not read the posts.
Seems like one can logically be linked to the other--if you believe it's mainly just a certain demographic uses those types of things and you have a realistic fear of receiving those things, logic seems to imply that you believe someone from that demographic would be sending you those things.

If I copy and paste replies to posts without the original posts .... It's amazing what distorted logic connection you can get.

So one topic is me not liking emoji, and acknowledging that young people love it. And I would not have control over recieving these messages from anyone .

The second is me acknowledge that it Japan sticker and messafing is a huge phenomenon , having lived here....and replying to what I assume was a Japanese poster, that I can understand that it's a target demographic in Asia (Japan in Asia) , and will have huge appeal to female posters .

So the poster copies my two replies without context , and you read them and tell me logically it makes sense ??? OMG, mate I thought you were more logical than that . Actually I know you are, cause I respect quite a lot you write on here , and admire your dedication , but than is petty stuff.

And hence I asked you two , where on earth did I ever mention that my friendship circle could ever be made up of Asian teenagers , or how two unrelated posts contradict themselves ..... Different topic.

Let's debate at least on context of what has been discussed and not replies out of context.

As I described at https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...cations-and-more.1977118/page-9#post-23011722 above. In any case, it seems like the point has been made and we can only split hairs and beat a dead horse, none of which leads anywhere aside from needlessly filling up this thread (like with those replies about quotes of what was said that were finally settled after a lot of needless back and forth). Seems like at the very least in the interest of the thread we can move on.

hmmmm this is petty. Enjoy it. I agree let's end this . Back on topic .

No hyperbole here but Apple needs to stop trying to humanize computers. No. Just no. You're embarrassing yourself, Apple. One reason why Android is a masterpiece is that it's very sterile. No gimmicks or flash. Just straight forward features. We don't need stupid Digital Touch. Just stop it. I don't need to see sketches from my friend and family. I don't need to feel my girlfriend's stupid heartbeat. I don't "emotive" text messages. I don't need my smartphone to be "fun." What I need is all-day battery life. I need widgets that tell me the current weather.

You sound fun. What's the weather like tomorrow?

RIP Apple.

That's original. I'll save it and show you in 10 years to remind you how silly you sounded when Apple are still making more profit per hour than most people will probably see in their lifetime (it's about $4.8 million of you take the poor perforing last quarter as an average across the year)

... That nobody buys. Apple should focus more on advertising in this area, as I think it has potential.

[you were referring to HomeKit at this point]. A lot of people invest in HomeKit tech, and as sales of smart home technology are growing and will continue to grow (there are even connected dishwashers and cooking extractor hoods now but no idea why!) hopefully Apple will link up and get more of it HomeKit approved - or whatever they call it. I rally think you miss the point saying 'nobody buys it' - I think this is a huge market for the future, and the very near future at that. If Apple sleeps they will really miss out.

Someone else confirmed it earlier in this thread. Not got a screenshot yet as not got it installed yet.

Edit: got this screenshot. Also Markup for messages, finally!

Ooooh 'unlimited tabs in safari! I hate how when I open a tab and have reached my limit safari just replaces on of the oldest tabs. I browse and read news sites by opening tabs in the background (on the iPad anyway, I hate how on the iPhone it opens the tab, I hope they change that too) and then spend time reading. Inevitably I come across my links to read later, and end up with stuff I want to keep for longer. I don't like the bookmarks in Safari in iOS, I find them hard to navigate and edit, so I just use tabs until I decide to close them. For many this may be a nothing feature, for me it's great.

I also really like ApplePay I'm safari. I probably only make one or two cash transactions per month, most stuff is via a card and more and more is now ApplePay. I pay all my bills online, and a lot of my shopping (well over half) is online, ApplePay would just make it quicker and easier and I'm interested in the security side too, not having to enter card details on a website can only be a good thing.

Would serve Apple right if their shares dived after that keynote.

I don't remember an Apple event where shares haven't fallen after, but they are still plodding along, ten years little company just about managing to pay the bills.

You sound really bitter about something, what is it exactly? Did Apple not do something you wanted? If you paid attention you'd know Apple haven't announced hardware at a developers conference for a while now, and when they did it was very little, usually pro equipment. If you think bendable phones will end everything you are delusional, tell me why anyone should rush out to buy a phone that bends?

That said, I bet my right arm Apple have been looking at bendable screens and tech, they spend tens of billions a year on research, they are not investing it all on emojis! Bendable is a gimmick, certainly it will be from the beginning. For me I can't truly understand how 'bendable' can be 'strong', and as well as not really needing a device that bends I certainly don't need a device that breaks easily. In time I'm sure they will work it out, we can all be bending our devices and going 'ooooh look at this' and having a jolly good laugh about it. Oh I can't wait.

Many people care about the health kit Apple is developing, go and have a look at some of the research level stuff they are investing in and enabling, it's impressive, it could make a huge impact. You may well be very fit and healthy, but if ever that changes you may appreciate some of the things Apple are doing.

Microsoft is the new Microsoft, they are just finding their edge again, I'm glad, innovation is good for us all. As for Apple dieting slowly, well, people on here have been predicting it for years, yet still they grow. Time will tell, but if you truly believe it I will happily have a bet with you, I do love a sure thing.

Most keynotes I come away thinking 'Gee that was a well run keynote and some great features.. not so much this time'.

It looks like Apple just loaded a crap ton of bloatware to the messaging app to me. I'm disappointed with what I saw. It looks like they geared messages towards a teenage girl. I like the current quick/business feel of messages. I hope I can turn off these bedazzled features.

It was the most underwhelming keynote in my life. Apple is being doomed...
My coworkers and I are starting to feel like this is the beginning of the end. Apple is losing touch with their core users that want simplicity over everything else. From what i saw, it does not look like iOS10 will not pass the grandparents test.

But doesn't this mean that the phone is "more active" how does it differentiate between being picked up and you standing up whilst it's in your pocket.
The proximity sensor.
Also the gyros will be on whilst the phone is in standby.
Probably uses the low-power M chip (at least in the iPhone 5s and newer) that is always measuring movement.
It makes far more sense if the notifications are displayed when you unlock the phone, not trying to remember what they all were, some are obvious, some are quite hidden (inconsistent too).
Doesn't make sense for Touch ID users, especially on the 6s. IDK how many times I've picked up my 6s and blown past my notifications by barely touching the home button. There will probably be a toggle for the raise to wake functionality.

Messages are still messages and could be used as someone wants to use them. Some want to use more than others. Nothing wrong with any of that.

As a long time Android user turned iOS user, it's good to see some Android goodies making it's way over to iOS.
