Usually I’m very open minded but I feel a little weird about the whole transparency things. Maybe I need to actually use it for my feelings to change.
They use the word fluid a couple of times so I wonder how fluid iOS is going to get in the next couple of years.

OMG it looks so different, it’s such a radical redesign, no doubt it will polarize opinion massively. It’s the biggest redesign since iOS 7, these things happen once in a decade!!!!!
🤨🙄🥲

This update looks like a mixed bag. The updates to the phone app seem like fantastic quality of life improvements and something I was always hoping Apple would adapt from Google.

The design changes, on the other hand, seem terrible. I'll reserve my judgement until I see it, but first impression is what were they thinking?!

So, I just installed the iOS 26 beta and immediately had to turn on high contrast and reduce transparency in accessibility. I bet they’ll dial back the level of transparency for better legibility! Those Apple designers must be under 30 years old! 😂

We’ve had this theme on our winterboard through Cydia since redsn0w 0.9.15b3 🥱
Curious when Apple will actually start to refine their software and actually deliver on their promises. Tim Crook needs to go. Not everything should be about money, especially since it printed out of thin air and backed by nothing.
He is there to stay until people start voting with their wallets and it hits the stakeholders. Then they will get the point.

I still don't understand why it's called "iOS 26". Shouldn't it be "iOS 25"? I mean, it was unveiled at WWDC 25 (unless they're changing how they count WWDC now too).

At this point, I don’t think it really matters what Apple does, people have already made up their minds that the company has lost its way. Confirmation bias will continue to shape perceptions, so nothing Apple does is likely to change that.

To be fair, Apple partly set itself up for this. During the late ’90s and 2000s, the company was on an incredible streak, seemingly unstoppable. But that era was unique, a time when the tech landscape was ripe for groundbreaking innovation. No company can sustain that pace forever, yet Apple was so far ahead then that people still expect the same level of disruption today and that’s just not realistic.
Nope. It was Jobs who created new products. Tim only sells Jobs products, he never was an innovator. Lots of Apple fans deny this cause „look at the numbers“, but Apple completely lost track. Cook continues to sell „the best iPhone ever“ year after year - but not a single „one more thing“. He tried with the Apple Vision Pro, but what a fail!

Apple needs a new CEO, fresh ideas, a new business model and a new way of thinking „lock users in, lock competition out“ is not the way to go in a connected world.

i do like the design but it feels like this new update is only about "liquid glass" which is just new icon designs.

Can the Apple presentation consultants please, Please, PLease, PLEase, PLEAse, PLEASe, PLEASE develop alternative hand gestures other than "...hands apart, then hands together...". PLEASE.

Also, could we get Apple presenters to all wear the same sneakers. I suggest something bland. Is there some sort of kickback going on ??? What is with the "I am cool, look at my sneakers" vibe. Jesus.

I can live with the sneakers apparent kickback scheme, but PLEASE stop having every single person do the same hand gestures. (Stepford wives are calling Tim to disagree).

Sorry, I might be misunderstanding, but ‘nope’ at what exactly? I’m not sure my original post had a yay or nay response. Could you elaborate?
