I don't understand why the iPad Mini 2 is the budget model they kept instead of the iPad Mini 3. They could have had TouchID across their entire iOS lineup.
Doesn't the iPad Air 1 not have TouchID? I was thinking the same until I remembered this.

Arandtech feels it is improved and specs list it as a fully laminated screen like the Air2I wonder if the colour gamut has been improved but considering they didn't mention it, I'm guessing it hasn't.
Given how little time they spend on it, it is very well possible that there are additional improvements to the ones mentioned. They were really short of time (yes, we can argue that they could have used less game demos).I wonder if the colour gamut has been improved but considering they didn't mention it, I'm guessing it hasn't.
No, it doesn't. TouchID was iPhone-exclusive for a year.Doesn't the iPad Air 1 not have TouchID? I was thinking the same until I remembered this.
Okay I'm glad they haven't ditched the Mini but wow!!!! The Mini got one sentence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "IPad Mini 4 will be the current iPad Air 2 in 'Mini' form" -
That's it?! Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's something lackluster and .... Disappointing about it. Like reaching for an ice cold beverage and it's a little flat.

I'm starting to think they have too many products. Should be 1 mini, 1 Air and 1 Pro. This is plain confusing. Similar issue with the MacBook lineup.
Also with OSes. tvOS, Mac OS, Watch OS, iOS.
Keep it simple Apple.
Great Galaxy ! Who in their right mine would spend 800 dollars on an iPad ? Might as well save a few more and get a MacBook.
I'm not sure if we are on the same page or not but what I'm concerned about is that the Mini is behind the times when you compare it to the overall mobile market. It wasn't behind in 2013 when it matched the specs of the iPad Air released together with it. The mini was behind when its first version was released in 2012 (by not having a retina screen). It was behind in 2014 by not getting a processor update. It is behind the iPhone and iPad Pro in terms of processor in 2015 (though not behind the iPad Air 2).
But you happened to pick the one year when it was not behind as your example.
... Yeah ... I don't like that. The iPad Mini is the new iPod Touch.
Why are saying the Mini is behind the times instead of the iPad in general is behind the times (if both the iPad mini and 9.7" iPad now share largely the same specs)? Your phrasing makes it sound as if only the Mini would be behind the times.I'm not sure if we are on the same page or not but what I'm concerned about is that the Mini is behind the times when you compare it to the overall mobile market.
Don't touch my 11" Air!They should have...iPad mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro.
And for Macbooks...MacBook (12"), MacBook Air (13"), and MacBook Pro (15")
And for phones...iPhone mini (4"), iPhone Air (4.7"), iPhone Pro (5.5")
Simple.

Ah, ok. Yes the iPad itself wasn't updated fully so it too was shorted, just not as much as the Mini. Why are saying the Mini is behind the times instead of the iPad in general is behind the times (if both the iPad mini and 9.7" iPad now share largely the same specs)?
