What is a Pro phone user? one that makes a living out of making phone calls? :) because no Professional camera man/woman really makes moving on an iPhone, there are RED cameras for that, no professional photographer really only uses an iPhone. All marketing. Disappointing. They should have removed the notch, added touch id on the screen, not to mention 5G. iPad pro should get the A13, makes more sense to have more power in an iPad (where you have a slightly higher chance of doing work) than an iPhone.

Dual sim with e-sim would be nice if they had dual sim options and e-sim on top of that :)
I wonder if they addressed the app download options for dual sim option so that two apps can be downloaded allowing one for each sim number. Say two WhatsApp apps 1 for each sim number

The iPhone Pro looks great but what really drives me crazy is the storage greed. Come on. it should start at least with 128gb. Apple knows very well 64gb won't cut for most people and the next tier is just too much $$$.
Damn, I'll wait another year with my 7+. smh

We have seriously lost sight of the origin of the word “pro”. It used to mean “professional”, but now it means “more features at a higher price point, but has nothing to do with anything professional”.

Please? Are there really professional phone users?
Well I guess when I was in college businessmen that used Blackberries were "professional" phone users...but I guess it hasn't been that in the decade and a half since graduating.

Not going to lie or sugarcoat, that was the most brutal/boring/uninspiring keynote I've ever seen Apple put on. The amount of quibbles, and failure to highlight one smoking gun feature. I'm too tired to elaborate, but it's rare that something that is promised to be overly underwhelming actually surpasses and is entirely underwhelming.

Man, I feel like there was a changing of the guard there today. Phil was the worst of any presenter, like dude how many times do you want me to get excited about the camera, stop repeating yourself. I honestly think Apple could use some new youthful input/leadership etc... It's getting harder and harder to disguise what's going on over there.

Sigh, I've bought myself some time, but there's a decision to be made somewhere down the line. Hopefully Apple can step back from the precipice.

Yawn. Hard pass.

I rather wait 1 more year to invest 1500 euros on a more significant upgrade.

  • 4 hours more battery life
  • 30% more screen brightness and double the contrast with HDR10
  • quadruple the field of view in videos and photos
  • dual camera videos
  • 50% larger video sensor
  • Can practically take photos in the dark
  • 30% faster FaceID that works at more angles and larger distances
  • 20% faster CPU and GPU
  • Dolby Atmos

Yeah pretty insignificant upgrade.

I'm upgrading only because I'm on the iPhone Upgrade Program and would definitely be upgrading every two years anyway. That and a free year of Apple TV+.

Nothing too exciting aside from the huge 4-5 hour battery life improvements and low light camera capabilities. For me, the wide angle camera is less exciting than having a longer telephoto, but it will still be useful. WiFi 6 will be nice since I'm planning to upgrade my network soon. Doing 4K HDR at 60fps will be nice as I think the current one is limited to 24/30 for HDR. Doubt this XDR display will be much better than the last one. Any enhancements to Face ID will be welcome. I saw that on a slide but did they go into details or did I miss it? Faster charging is useful. I think it's funny that only the expensive iPhone got the fast charger in the box, though. Doubling the water resistance to 4M is kinda pointless unless you drop it in a lake and go after it. Hopefully the impact resistance is good enough now that I can go caseless.

I'll admit I'm kinda irritated about not being able to use my iPhone to wirelessly charge my AirPods. I thought that was the point of the longer battery life? Guess they need something to get people to upgrade next year. Makes me think the notch isn't going anywhere in 2020.

Phil was the only presenter who sounded like a human being.

And yeah Apple is doomed /s

Sorry to say this, but the “presenters” of each product besides Phil, are kind of dull and drab. They don’t really create the excitement around the products/features they are introducing. Painful to watch most of this.

So was Phil once. So was Tim once. Have to start somewhere.
