It's virtually the same for the non-Max:

Apple is mostly doing this to catch up to Samsung, and to upsell from the 6.1" SE 4 next year when the non-Pros increase the screen size as well.
You mean Apple is using it as pure marketing! NO WAY!

Looking forward to moving back down to the regular sized Pro from the Pro Max, as well as finally having 4K slo-mo. Will they also add faster 1080p slo-mo? Would love to see 480fps.

Otherwise not much else to see here. I mean it's cool to have a dedicated camera button so I don't need that for the action button, and I think the other features of the button could be kinda useful, but it just seems like yet another kinda gimmicky feature? And this is coming from someone who has worked as a professional photographer.

Even in their press photo, below, it looks kinda awkward to hold and use at the same time, so the ergonomics don't seem great compared to a real camera. I wish they could've positioned it more to the right, but maybe that caused more accidental triggers?View attachment 2414477
They did it to maintain summetry but it
Looks awkward to hold.

How much bigger is is the max screen compared to last year? They make is sound it’s massive
It’s not. but people fall for marketing and new colors. And will then use an amazing camera to take garbage quality Snapchat images destroyed by filters and downsized to like 2megapixels

I don't recall any of the TC era presentations that were not bland and boring. . . . it just became more so when they were recorded in advance. At least, pre-Covid, a live audience provided feedback. Now it is just a long infomercial.
Are "Wooooooooo" tracks a thing?

I see no reason to upgrade my 15pm for at least 3 more years. Prices keep going up with nothing new introduced. Not that I had any intention of upgrading as I have only had my phone for 4 months.
My 14 Pro will live another few years too if Apple keeps putting out basically the same thing every year. I don’t want AI and I don’t really care about all those gaming and graphic improvements. The 14 Pro camera is fine for me.

The one thing that could have pushed me to upgrade is a Samsung Dex like mode with an external display. Maybe next year (but probably not 🤷‍♀️).

Looking to jump back into Apple for one of my phones and the "physical" 5x zoom for the regular Pro 16 is really the only thing to consider over the Pro 15 for me. With the 15s on additional discount in a week and a half it makes the decision harder...

Need to review the event notes, but did they mention 30% efficiency improvement for A18/Pro? looking forward to that - for the battery gains and for less heat!

Yeah I have a feeling that it’s the same camera sensor yet again.

Unfortunately it is the same IMX803 as the 14 Pro.. it would be 2.8µm if it's the IMX903

On a bright side at least I don't have to choose between the Pro and the Pro Max?(the IMX903 was rumored to be exclusive to the Pro Max)

So are they reusing the main camera sensor for a third time I a row? It is not clear whether this is a new sensor or just faster readout due to an improved processor.
I believe readout is very much a camera sensor feature..

Other than the chip, screen size and ceramic glass.... what is actually improved on the Pro max? Nothing else new from last year

Great, so we’re going to be paying for essentially the same looking phone for the sixth year in a row.
