You mean Apple is using it as pure marketing! NO WAY!2.53% in the diagonal, based on the pixel dimensions in the specs (the 460 DPI remain unchanged). Visual comparison:

It's virtually the same for the non-Max:

Apple is mostly doing this to catch up to Samsung, and to upsell from the 6.1" SE 4 next year when the non-Pros increase the screen size as well.
It seems, yes. It was my biggest concern for me. Photography is the number one motivation for me to upgrade, but I don’t want the max…So do both models get the IMX-903?
They did it to maintain summetry but itLooking forward to moving back down to the regular sized Pro from the Pro Max, as well as finally having 4K slo-mo. Will they also add faster 1080p slo-mo? Would love to see 480fps.
Otherwise not much else to see here. I mean it's cool to have a dedicated camera button so I don't need that for the action button, and I think the other features of the button could be kinda useful, but it just seems like yet another kinda gimmicky feature? And this is coming from someone who has worked as a professional photographer.
Even in their press photo, below, it looks kinda awkward to hold and use at the same time, so the ergonomics don't seem great compared to a real camera. I wish they could've positioned it more to the right, but maybe that caused more accidental triggers?View attachment 2414477
It’s not. but people fall for marketing and new colors. And will then use an amazing camera to take garbage quality Snapchat images destroyed by filters and downsized to like 2megapixelsHow much bigger is is the max screen compared to last year? They make is sound it’s massive
Are "Wooooooooo" tracks a thing?I don't recall any of the TC era presentations that were not bland and boring. . . . it just became more so when they were recorded in advance. At least, pre-Covid, a live audience provided feedback. Now it is just a long infomercial.
Where did you see see that they are using the IMX-903?It seems, yes. It was my biggest concern for me. Photography is the number one motivation for me to upgrade, but I don’t want the max…
My 14 Pro will live another few years too if Apple keeps putting out basically the same thing every year. I don’t want AI and I don’t really care about all those gaming and graphic improvements. The 14 Pro camera is fine for me.I see no reason to upgrade my 15pm for at least 3 more years. Prices keep going up with nothing new introduced. Not that I had any intention of upgrading as I have only had my phone for 4 months.
Source? It seems, yes. It was my biggest concern for me. Photography is the number one motivation for me to upgrade, but I don’t want the max…
While I do agree with you to some extent — at least they released iPhone 16 vs. adding some new features to iPhone 15today's presentation is unbelievably bland and boring, nothing really new despite the marketing babble
Yeah I have a feeling that it’s the same camera sensor yet again.
Go with the max if you can handle it.not a bronze fan... nice bump however... how to choose between max and pro!
It is but on the 14 Pro I can capture more fine details than I can with the 15 Pro. The lens and image processing is important too. It's the same IMX803 as the 14 Pro..
Yeah I have a feeling that it’s the same camera sensor yet again.
Where did you see see that they are using the IMX-903?
I believe readout is very much a camera sensor feature..So are they reusing the main camera sensor for a third time I a row? It is not clear whether this is a new sensor or just faster readout due to an improved processor.

Thankfully, it seems, indeed, only screen and battery..
I'm pretty sure that RAM storage this year will be a joke too...Yikes, they kept the base pro at 128GB... pathetic.
I actually think a decent upgrade overall, but base storage is a joke.
Can’t innovate anymore.today's presentation is unbelievably bland and boring, nothing really new despite the marketing babble
