The NSA paranoia around here is nutty.
Most people already have fingerprints on file somewhere -- either from background checks, professional licenses, etc.
Also, I'd be less worried about fingerprint databases and more worried about the fact that everyone carries around a device with a camera and a microphone that can, theoretically, be activated remotely at any time without your knowledge.
