The phone has a weird hold on my imagination. I managed to resist the S25 Edge. Can I resist this too!!!
The pro is even worst. And it looks cheap as well.

Anyone who doesn't need all the bells and whistles of the pro. Why does a product have to be pigeon-holed to certain people and no one else? Stop overthinking the obvious.
Customers: We don't like the camera bump. Just make the whole thing thicker with a bigger battery and get rid of the bump.
Apple: How about we make it even thinner and give the camera bump it's own bump instead!
Honestly, Apple, some of us want a utilitarian device, but don't want to jump to the Android platform to do that.

The iPhone Air uses the A19 Pro, just like the 17 Pro and Pro Max, not the A19.
But the battery life seems to have taken a hit (supposedly 8 hours). Who wouldn’t take 2mm extra thickness to get way more battery life.
Someone who wants a bigger phone that is lighter and who doesn’t care about the rear camera?

Thinking back to when I had a Samsung SGH-T519 back in 2008 (?) the last non-Apple phone I had before I got the 3GS the next year... it was so thin (7.3mm) and light... but it had T9 input, a crappy camera and "apps" and "syncing"? Fughetaboutit! 😆

Exactly! I don't care about the cameras much, I want my iPhone to not feel like a brick, I love ProMotion. And I think its thinness will attract a lot of people.

Edit: I'm only pointing that out because I think it is funny that there were rumors the Air would be >$1000. The base 17 wasn't going to be that high and Apple likes to keep a phone at the $999 psychological barrier point. Adding the Air gave Apple room to move the Pros >$1000, keep lower costing phones, but put a phone in that $1000 spot.

Some people don't spend all day on the phone. As such, the battery last a long time for them not to mention most have easy access to electricity for charging when needed. If you stop acting like everyone has the same needs and wants, the Air makes sense.
I think it looks stunning unlike the Pro.

Pro Max (11 through 16)...I loved you for the big screen, but I'm all about thin and light with A19 Pro.

Well Apple definitely got my attention with the iPhone Air as soon as they said titanium frame! It, along with the screen not being a downgrade as expected, might just get me to upgrade from my 15 Pro Max. I do love me some thin Apple devices, given I also own a M4 iPad Pro. Battery life may be the one drawback to the Air, but the MagSafe pack would solve that for long days traveling.
I'm pretty impressed with this, not only from an engineering standpoint but aesthetically as well. It's a shame it's so big, though. But I'll have to see it in person to get a better sense of it.
I wonder how long it will take before reports of bent phones start appearing.
