Ah man I wish they’d make one without a camera (don’t need it), imagine the air without such a hump! (I know a little hump for the other parts but should be a bit thinner still)
Interesting, but isn't wireless networking already way faster than USB 3.0 anyway? Are you fishing for a limitation that technically doesn't exist in real-world usage?
Yeah, I'm not interested after all.
- only 1% lighter than the 16e (165 vs. 167 grams)
- very pronounced camera wart
- camera bar isn't unibody
- glossy edge which I don't like
- eSIM-only in Europe as well
It's all about advancing the technology.
Not every device design is for everyone.
You need to look across the years of advances, not at a single device.
People like me (and no doubt millions of others) who want a thinner iPhone.
I'd buy one if it had a smaller battery and a smaller screen. This Air weighs almost an ounce more than my 13 mini and will not fit comfortably in my human hands.

You're probably the only person in the world this day and age that doesn't want/need a camera on their phone.... doubt Apple would do that just for you lol
No stereo speaker is disappointing.

They could have gone with a 16e style camera, which isn't as thick. The 16e is 9.48 mm including the camera, while the Air looks like around 12 mm.

That doesn't seem unreasonable - the target for the Air is for people for whom battery life is not the key. I cannot imagine streaming 22 hours of video with no access to power - even on a flight from Oz-UK I would have power
Me. I take snaps not photos so I don't need the best camera system - and even the system they have for front facing will make video calls better.
I either sit at my desk (home or office), sit in my car or walk around - whilst seated I have power if I need it. Whilst walking I don't walk for 22 hours straight watching videos. This is perfect for me.
But they are claiming the same battery life as the 16 pro, my current phone. And for me, battery life has never been an issue, so really tempted.
That's the Pro Max though. I think it's a fairer comparison with the Pro and 17.
