I'm pretty impressed with this, not only from an engineering standpoint but aesthetically as well. It's a shame it's so big, though. But I'll have to see it in person to get a better sense of it.

The "thinness" advances will lead to foldable devices in the future giving people both big and small screens in one device.

Any wonder why they touted Ceramic Shield on front and back?? Screens, baby! Front and back.

So you have to use the MagSafe Battery to have the same battery performance as a Pro Model.

Very interesting. Waiting to see real life pictures and videos in the coming days. Polished frame is nice. Apple could have had it like that for the 15 Pro and 16 Pro Titanium frames.

Ah man I wish they’d make one without a camera (don’t need it), imagine the air without such a hump! (I know a little hump for the other parts but should be a bit thinner still)

Yeah, I'm not interested after all.
  1. only 1% lighter than the 16e (165 vs. 167 grams)
  2. very pronounced camera wart
  3. camera bar isn't unibody
  4. glossy edge which I don't like
  5. eSIM-only in Europe as well
I'll stick with the 13 mini for a while longer. We'll see what the 17e will bring.

The Air looks very pretty, definitely the best looking iPhone since the X, but 200 bucks more than the regular 17 is bad value sadly.

I know that the camera bump has to be there because of hardware limitations (focal length, sensor size). But it just looks silly.
They could have gone with a 16e style camera, which isn't as thick. The 16e is 9.48 mm including the camera, while the Air looks like around 12 mm.

That doesn't seem unreasonable - the target for the Air is for people for whom battery life is not the key. I cannot imagine streaming 22 hours of video with no access to power - even on a flight from Oz-UK I would have power
Who is this for?
Me. I take snaps not photos so I don't need the best camera system - and even the system they have for front facing will make video calls better.

I either sit at my desk (home or office), sit in my car or walk around - whilst seated I have power if I need it. Whilst walking I don't walk for 22 hours straight watching videos. This is perfect for me.

I feel like the pro is to much for me now but the air isnt quite enough.
Also.. no TechWoven for the air. I mean wtf?
