It's not just ordinary widgets though — that bit with the iPhone widget that was on the Mac desktop, what was that about? Was the Mac actually communicating through the iPhone - the widget on the Mac desktop just an image and click target being forwarded?

Don't worry, the initial release will still introduce 10,000 bugs.

But it won't matter because by the time they fix them they'll be ready to introduce Mac OS Redwood. I hate this 1-year development cycle.

W T F!!!!!! I had loads of useful widgets in my dashboard back in the day of high sierra and then they got rid of the functionality and now they reintroduce it like they have invented sliced bread!!!!

Well, that's OK, as long as a bunch of quality control comes along with these incremental updates to the Apple operating systems. And maybe somebody, somewhere, will find a good use for the Vision Pro, and it's nice to see new models of Mac's & MacBooks.

They usually come in early spring after the latest Unicode version is released. People always joke about the new emojis but it’s really just Apple keeping up with the latest standards for text encoding. Not doing so would be really bad.
