If only there was a way to run desktop widgets say back in 2006....hmmm...
MacOS Vista
are the desktop widgets interactive or not? Seems weird to only bring it to iPadOS. What happened to consistency?
It's the same for me on my work Mac: multiple spaces with tiled windows filling the whole screen. I barely ever even see the wallpapers. Perhaps these widgets are more useful on a personal Mac where there is less going on simultaneously, at least for me.Am I the only one who barely gets to see my desktop? It's not because I fill it with icons, files and shortcuts but because I always tend to have apps open covering the desktop. Putting widgets on my desktop would make them less accessible than the command centre. I'm not using them much when they are in the command centre either, but this won't improve anything for me. It's good that it allows users to use widgets in other ways.
Yea, how are those different from tab groups exactly?..Profiles for Safari? Unreal. Living in the future right here
Completely separate bucket of cookies/localstorage/bookmarks/sessions/history/etc, I would assume (if it's anything like profiles on Firefox, Chromium browsers, Orion, etc)Yea, how are those different from tab groups exactly?..
Ok, right history is important. I wonder if settings can also be changed, beyond cookies etc.Completely separate bucket of cookies/localstorage/bookmarks/sessions/history/etc, I would assume (if it's anything like profiles on Firefox, Chromium browsers, Orion, etc)
Only ten? Windows 95's "Active Desktop" (which was an update released in... I want to say 1997) added something widgety. They were horrendously slowIf only there had been a way to run desktop widgets back ten years ago…
