i do agree with one of thep revious posters about the skeuomorphism design: one thing i appreciated about it, is that each app was much easier to pick out from the other, both on the desktop and in mission control. if all the apps look the very same, i will miss this feature's impact in the positive way that it did.
Frankly the shirt in his bio picture should have been enough to fire him.

Very interesting! Leo Laporte made a comment on his MacBreak Weekly show last week that he wondered if Forstall was being punished over the Maps, because he was in the audience and not on the stage.
Laporte is da man!
Hopefully a big change for iOS. Felt so trapped in 960x640 resolution.
We now know where the idea for the stitching in all the apps came from.![]()
I ask myself the same question.I wonder what led to this.
iOS was his baby, but I think it needs a fresh set of eyes.
No, the fact that he's not a software engineer is critical. As a general rule software engineers are the worst people to be doing UI/UX design.
Oh, and I doubt we will see anything significant soon unless they push out releases 9-12 months past the normal release timelines.
I doubt they will want to scrap months of work. Now I am worried that iOS 7 will just be half Forstall and half Ive. But I am hoping to see some major changes. Windows Phone is looking better and better every day.
Someone has probably already said this, and I apologies if it's you. I'm sure once I have read through everything I will come across your post.
Do you thing we will now have Jony Ive talk during the key notes. Would bring back some of the magic lost when Jobs left us.
With Jony Ive taking over Human Interface teams, there could be more consistency coming to Apple's user interfaces across the company.
Google will hire Forstall, just watch.
