Just like for my iPod touch, I plan to wait for refurbished units to save some $$$. Anywho...No FW is really a stickler for me and choking to swallow. USB is OK for printers, mice, flash drives, ... but for external hard drives and such...I just am having a hard time accepting. I'm torn. I'm not a great fan of NVIDIA either but eh.No FireWire!!!
Seriously do they think it's funny to do this to people?
There is plenty of room!?!
I still don't quite understand the decision on Firewire for the MacBooks...

What's with the £130 premium for the old plastic notebook. (COMBO FFS)
Apple: You DESERVE to LOSE sales for this. How can I honestly recommend you to PC users now?
The US Apple Store is DOWN. I was in but then kaboom.
Must be all those auto unibody enthusiasts.![]()
Why did they have to shaft the 17" MBP users. The supposed refresh doesn't even have the new graphics chip.
Couldn't agree more. **** those better graphics too, if the price isn't reasonable for me.Absolute crap. No firewire on the MB means it's dead to me. No change of heart possible at all. And reducing the processor and increasing the price? Masters of the absurd. I feel like strangling Jobs. FFS!
Companies that appeal to clientele who don't quibble about a few hundred dollars.
NO Firewire on MacBook, NO PURCHASE!
Absolute crap. No firewire on the MB means it's dead to me.
