But the Dutch team wears orange for some reason. Do you know why? I am too lazy too look it up.
Same for me but it's because all the international teams wear it. See.

Considering, by my count, 42 countries sent more athletes to the last Summer Games than Jamaica, I can sort of see @kerr's point. On the other hand, Jamaica has seemingly (I haven't looked into these numbers) had a larger impact on the Games than a fair amount of countries who sent more athletes. EDIT: They finished 16th in the medals count.

Either way, I think the Jamaica band looks amazing with the Space Gray watch.
I may count let’s check out all the population of athletes or for the country of Jamaica compared to other countries that you’re talking about then adjust your numbers accordingly so no I cannot see what that other person was talking about I think it’s just arrogance, plain & simple. This isn’t just about olympics here, and Apple hasn’t stated the bands are for olympics, it’s just an example.

either way let @kerr defend themselves, their comment seemed a bit off, overly critical - considering there are over 172 registered countries worldwide.

Many of them aren’t available in 44mm (yet?), which is a shame. Would’ve picked up a couple.

Ah, one of the options I added to my cart was just removed, looks like they’re selling out. Bummer.

I'm sorry, I have no idea what you're trying to say here. Can you explain further? Thanks.

Someone stated they understand Kerr’s shock of Jamaica related to athletes or events from Jamaica at the Olympics. It’s an island country and I’m stated check population (and climate) to compare events number of athletes and representation in the olympics from other countries and those #’s would be very skewed not in favour of Jamaica if focusing only on Olympics. Adjust for population you’d have a VERY different view.

again in no way are these bands focused on olympics all countries chosen by Apple here are valid, showing decorum and respect for others should be done , not an overly critical quick quip.

yes Apple has some considerable adjustments as others have mentioned (Great Britain vs Ireland, Israel vs Palestine), and I recognize & sympathize.

someone on page 1 of this thread had a great idea of making the loops bands as a base similar to Pride bands to better represent flags. Star spangled banner would work crazy here if refectant/shiny & if Apple did this for others as well.

Yeah. That someone was me. I can understand how someone would think that Jamaica could be a "random" choice as the 138th most populous country and the country who sent only the 43rd most athletes to Rio, when there are only 22 bands. You can't understand how someone would think that. Okay.

And as I said, I can also see how they would be included, since they do pretty well medal-wise compared to the number of athletes they bring (and compared to their total population).

We will also have to disagree that these bands aren't focused on the Olympics. They absolutely are in my opinion. Apple is choosing not to mention "Olympics" because that would cost them a lot of money in a rights deal.

Putting it into prospective for you would mean that the UK and Ireland are a franchise here.
I'll admit that I'm short on sleep today, so maybe I just need to go back to bed, but I'm having a hard time understanding people today. haha. What does this mean? You said that Great Britain is a country and that it is a nickname for the UK, neither of which are true. I'm sorry for misunderstanding.

Where's the braided loop versions of these? Would look so much better.

While I'm at it, why can't the "top middle: heart rate" complication be added to more watch faces? So few watch faces support this and it's actually really useful. The heart icon is a waste of space and should be converted to a live metric to actually display heart rate without needing to tap.

I bought a few off AliExpress and I was so impressed with the quality (nearly indistinguishable from Apple’s) that I bought a set of every single one. They’re phenomenal.

There are a few tiny differences like the size number missing and the finish of the inner ends (where the size number usually is) aren’t quite Apple quality but for less than 10% of the price and the fact that nobody sees those tiny flaws, it’s a steal. If you put them side by side, yes there’s a very slight difference but you have to really look.

Cue the “yeah but it will probably break or wear out and your watch will fall off and break”.

Never had one break. Been wearing them for years. And when your favorite wears out, it’s pocket change to replace.
I agree entirely! I used to spend so much on bands…then selling them on eBay if I went off the colour. Re-buying different shades etc. Then I discovered a seller on AliExpress and like yours they are absolutely perfect copies minus the branding. Strong connectors, same strong Velcro, never broken. Now I just buy anything I want want at about £2 each. Solo loops also: £1.20 Whilst I’ve always been against buying 3rd party in the past, when compared to my real Sport Loops there are indistinguishable in quality and feel. I bought 20 recently including from the last collection (Sea Salt, Abyss etc) and they are all great! I save my cash for the bands that are hard to copy and buy them genuinely. Eg. Metal, leather. I’m sure all these will be available in a matter of weeks too!

The Italian one!.... is blue??? :(
I guess they couldn’t think of any other way to differentiate Italy from Mexico, whose flag is almost identical to Italy’s with the only distinction between the two being the eagle on the white stripe in Mexico’s flag. 🇲🇽 🇮🇹
