I am an F1 TV Pro subscriber, and I got this email from Formula 1 this morining.

Hi There,

As a F1® TV Pro or Premium customer, we’re letting you know that we will be phasing out direct subscriptions to F1® TV Pro and Premium.

Key Changes to note:

To keep watching F1® through to the end of the 2025 season, F1®TV Pro and Premium annual and monthly subscriptions and renewals are available until the following dates:

  • Monthly Subscriptions: From December 8th this year, fans in the US will no longer be able to purchase a new F1® TV Pro or Premium monthly subscription and existing subscriptions will no longer renew.
  • Annual Subscriptions: From October 17th this year, fans in the US will no longer be able to purchase a new F1® TV Pro or Premium annual subscription.
  • From November 17th this year, existing F1® TV Pro or Premium annual subscriptions will no longer renew.

Your subscription

Considering these changes, this is what it means for your F1® TV Pro annual subscription.

Currently your annual subscription expires on 31 May 2026. After this date you will no longer be able to renew your F1® TV Pro annual subscription.

Want to keep watching F1® through to the end of the season?

F1® TV Pro and Premium Monthly subscriptions are available for purchase and renewals until the 7th December 2025.

2026 Onwards

From January 2026, our new Formula 1 broadcast partner in the US will be Apple TV. Next season F1® TV Premium will continue to be available in the U.S., included with an Apple TV subscription only. You will still be able to purchase F1® TV Access, which remains available in the US.

Thank you.

I'm extremely stoked! I've missed F1 ever since I cut the cord. And F1 TV was just too expensive to watch Verstappen win every race... 😏

Thanks Apple!

I've tried to get into it, and I just don't get it.

But ... I recognize we're all different, so kudos to those for whom this is super appealing!

It's more entertaining if you put a little money on it :) Some friends and I pay $10 a chip (up to two chips) each week for drawing NASCAR drivers. Each chip has one of the drivers name and number on them. Whoever pulls the winning driver wins the pot. If no one pulls the winning driver that week, it is a rollover. The typical pot is around $350, and it can double with a rollover, and so forth. I just like the action!!

Here's my concern. While I watch every F1 race, I no longer stay up late/get up early to watch them. I time shift nearly all of them, even the ones in the Americas. So, will I be able to watch the races when I want, and do so without spoilers? I'm looking at MLS in the TV app right now and while it looks like I can watch older matches from this season, the final score of the match is right across the title card. It would suck for me if it said Race Name and Podium Finishers right across it before I started to watch.
I think I found my answer. There's a setting in the TV app that turns off sports scores for that device you're running the app on. Even though the description below it says "Show live Sports scores in the Apple TV app," it seems to make the scores disappear from the title card on the older MLS events. If this is how F1 will work, that would be perfect.

Check your email, my daughter got one about her sub.

As of today, you cannot purchase a new F1TV annual subscription.
As of 17 November, existing F1TV annual subscriptions will not renew.
As of 8 December, you cannot purchase a new monthly F1TV subscription and existing F1TV monthly subscriptions will not renew.

Nothing about a pro-rated refund for those who have subscriptions with renewal dates after the 17 November/8 December cutoffs.

Just please keep the Sky Sports commentary, one way or another. Based on their MLB production, I have no confidence in Apple’s ability to staff with personalities I want to listen to.

Here's to hoping we still have access to individual car cameras. And that the live feed is the current team of commentators instead of the obnoxious Sky team, especially that over-reactive screech known as Croft.

Not sure. My subscription is set to renew on 3/10/2026 so I presume F1TV will reach out to US subscribers in the next 60 days with details.
Mine expires around the same time too. I like how Premium offers multi camera views on the same screen

Try to watch drive to survive on Netflix, 6 seasons or so, does a good job with. connecting u with driver and learning the fundamentals. Im a car guy but never liked F1, im a lot more into it now on my 2nd season.

While we can expect just the F1TV Premium feed and content to start, I could see Apple working with FOM to offer more capabilities over the coming years.

I have seen some cool fan-produced ideas for Apple Vision Pro like an AR overlay of the cars circulating along the track like we see on the team's pit wall screens. Maybe an overlay of precipitation on track tied into the weather radar. Etc.
For a start, it would be so cool just to have a feed from a couple of stationary spatial cameras placed around the track.

I'm an F1 fan and have watched damn near every race and session for the last 20 years or so, but the sport has got to use a lot of fuel for all the huge trucks and trailers used to move their stuff around, not to mention six or seven 747s to fly all over the world. Then there all the private jets for the rich fans.
Some of the drivers also have private jets. In 2026 the cars will run on 100% sustainable fuel - F1 announced that their goal is for the entire sport to be net zero by 2030.

F1 and motor racing in general is very anti-environmental, yet the company who forces its user to pay more to be carbon neutral and greener picks it up. Yeah, not even a bit hypocritical...or just typical big corp ****, hey you do it but we don't.
