While we can expect just the F1TV Premium feed and content to start, I could see Apple working with FOM to offer more capabilities over the coming years.

I have seen some cool fan-produced ideas for Apple Vision Pro like an AR overlay of the cars circulating along the track like we see on the team's pit wall screens. Maybe an overlay of precipitation on track tied into the weather radar. Etc.
What’s going to happen if we already have an F1 TV Premium subscription? F1 TV will refund our remaining time? We get F1 TV Premium starting in December on Apple TV

F1 and motor racing in general is very anti-environment, yet the company who forces its user to pay more to be carbon neutral and greener. Yeah, not even a bit hypocritical...or just typical big corp ****, hey you do it but we don't.

Don't worry ... they'll probably buy some carbon credits or lease some land in the amazon and then tell us how it's all OK and "nets out".

So for those of us who are currently paying for Apple TV and F1TV Premium, looks like we just have to pay for Apple TV next year which is a very nice savings.

Not sure. My subscription is set to renew on 3/10/2026 so I presume F1TV will reach out to US subscribers in the next 60 days with details.

Consumers in the EU burn about 1,500 times as much gasoline in passenger cars in a single day as the entire F1 series does in a full year (practice, qualifying, testing and racing).

So while the cars themselves aren’t low emissions (being tuned for power) the actual series contributes very little to overall emissions.

Seems fairly straightforward to me: If you have an Apple TV subscription come 2026 when the F1 season starts, you'll be able to watch all the races and for those who don't, there will be a few races available to watch for free.

If I was wanting to save a few $, I'd grab an annual Apple TV subscription at the end of the F1 season at the current $99.99 price so you're covered for any price increases that might happen before then.

I think all those refinery fires in Russia have eliminated any carbon offsets from pollution reduction throughout the rest of the world.

And the premium plan is $130 a year. What will be disappointing is if we in the US lose access to all the extra shows and race archives that F1TV provides.
Seems like the F1 TV app will still exist in the US, but only at the 'Access' tier which contains those things. Maybe Apple will make a deal with FOM to on-board all that in the future.

Not sure, probably grandfathered in? The app isn't going away.

> F1 TV Premium, F1’s own premier content offering, will continue to be available in the U.S. via an Apple TV subscription only and will be free for those who subscribe.

This statement warrants clarification, I think. Will this be through the Apple TV app/interface or F1 TV? And it will be 'free' for those who subscribe... to what, exactly?

I'm an F1 fan and have watched damn near every race and session for the last 20 years or so, but the sport has got to use a lot of fuel for all the huge trucks and trailers used to move their stuff around, not to mention six or seven 747s to fly all over the world. Then there all the private jets for the rich fans.

That means that you will need to pay for Apple TV + F1TV...
No. That means all races will be available in the Apple TV app but most will cost a fee to subscribe to, just like F1TV Premium… they will offer a handful of races FREE every year to tease people into subscribing to them all.

I think it is safe to say it will be through the Apple TV app and when you pay your $12.99 you'll get access to the F1 races in addition to the content available on the service.

I’m excited for this but it remains to be seen how they implement it. The streams need to be in 4K. There needs to be an interactive component. The commentary needs to be as good and knowledgeable as the Sky Sports F1 Team. They are the gold standard, unlike the ESPN pre-show commentators who were a bunch of clowns.

Then I’m still a little confused. What will be the distinction between regular F1 with an Apple TV sub and F1 TV Premium on Apple TV???
