I’m actually thinking it’s cheap. Just $50 above the normal version. It’s like if they made AirPods $79

the current Powerbeats 3 listed as $199, but Best Buy has been selling them for $100 for quite some time now. hope my gen 1 AirPods will last until Black Friday this year, then I will get the Powerbeats Pro at a discount.

I think the one with wires between the ears was $299. Or maybe it was $250 also? I have them; but don't remember what I paid.

Funny enough I have them as well and have no idea what I paid. Since the AirPods came out I only use them. But now that u mention it u may be right. In that regard, relative to their previous release, these are actually a “better deal” lol if u can believe it.

Strange times.

although really expensive, there are many of us for whom the airpods just do not fit. i know this type of design will fit my ear, so it may be worth the money.

i bought one of those airpod knockoffs (i12, which is BT5) just to see if i could make them fit with the 3m tape hack and they sort of fit but still come loose and the sound quality degrades. despite not being apple-made, they are actually really cool with all the touch controls, and pair very easily and reliably reconnect. if there were a similar powerbeats pro knockoff i'd be all over that, but for now it seems all the over-ear wireless anker/etc. have wires between the two earbuds.

Never liked beats sounding headphones so no thanks airpods are for me, some people will be like wow its black now lol but nah beats never sound good to me
Same. Beats products tends to focus on Bass rather than Balance sound compared to other's with those 250$ you can get a good earphones or headphones from Sennheisers which focuses on Sound Quality

Yikes..... $250 is steep.

9 hours of listening isn’t specified if that’s with case recharge or 9 hours of listening “per charge” for each ear piece. AirPods 2.0 get about 4-5 hours and my AirPods 1.0 get (now) about 1.5-3.0 hours of listening per charge.

So, if Apple are advertising 9 full hours of use “per charge,” and they have improved sound performance over the AirPods, it might be worth a look relative to the $250 tag, but there are a lot of options other once u get over $250.

AirPods at $175 (est.) is a tough sell; these at $250 might be impossible. But what do I know about sales and purchasing lol.
As Beats products they will constantly be on sale by 3rd party retailers months after release.

I got my Powerbeats 3 for less than 90 dollars and they’re fantastic.

I’ll gladly wait until these drop substantially and are on the sale rack.

Beats sound better, AirPods are just easier to wear day to day.
Beats emphasizes on Bass which why there called Beats and Beside there's cheap to be made with no even premium quality material compared to other companies that focus on Sound Quality. Beats products are all about the brand not sound which is why audiophiles dislike Beats

Airpods sound horrible compared to powerbeats
It sounds like you may prefer a Bass sound signature by Beats

If you listen to R&B hip-hop or even pop Beats have the best sound profile on the market. I find it funny when people who aren’t the targeted market complain about the way they sound

Apple's Beats brand today officially announced the new Powerbeats Pro Wireless Earphones, which, like the AirPods, are wire-free and come with a charging case and up to nine hours of listening time.

The Powerbeats Pro are going to cost $250, and Apple says they are coming in May. According to Apple, the Powerbeats Pro deliver "powerful, balanced sound with dynamic range and noise isolation for a premium listening experience."

The Powerbeats Pro, like the current Powerbeats, are sweat and water resistant and include the Powerbeats earhooks in four sizes for keeping them securely in place during workouts.

To get an ideal fit for most people, Apple tested more than 20 configurations to arrive at an "ergonomically angled housing" designed to nest "comfortably in the concha bowl of the ear with an off-axis nozzle." Apple says Powerbeats Pro are 23 percent smaller and 17 percent lighter than the Powerbeats 3.

There are physical controls on each earbud, with a dedicated volume buttons for adjusting the volume, and a button for answering and declining phone calls and changing the track that's currently playing. Like the AirPods, the Powerbeats Pro automatically detect when they're in your ears and can play/pause music accordingly.

The Powerbeats Pro come in their own clamshell-style charging case, which adds over 24 hours of combined playback with the nine hours of listening time that you get from each earbud. There's a 5-minute Fast Fuel feature that provides up to 1.5 hours of charging in five minutes.

Apple says the Powerbeats Pro use "Class 1 Bluetooth technology" for extended range and fewer dropouts, and the H1 chip that's in the second-generation AirPods is also in the Powerbeats Pro.

Apple is making the Powerbeats Pro available in four colors: Black, Ivory, Moss, and Navy. The Powerbeats Pro launch in May in US and more than 20 additional countries and regions, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.
