Yikes..... $250 is steep.

9 hours of listening isn’t specified if that’s with case recharge or 9 hours of listening “per charge” for each ear piece. AirPods 2.0 get about 4-5 hours and my AirPods 1.0 get (now) about 1.5-3.0 hours of listening per charge.

So, if Apple are advertising 9 full hours of use “per charge,” and they have improved sound performance over the AirPods, it might be worth a look relative to the $250 tag, but there are a lot of options other once u get over $250.

AirPods at $175 (est.) is a tough sell; these at $250 might be impossible. But what do I know about sales and purchasing lol.
For $250 it should have included a wireless charging case.

Beats emphasizes on Bass which why there called Beats and Beside there's cheap to be made with no even premium quality material compared to other companies that focus on Sound Quality. Beats products are all about the brand not sound which is why audiophiles dislike Beats

It sounds like you may prefer a Bass sound signature by Beats

$14 headphones with $200 worth of marketing

"There's a 5-minute Fast Fuel feature that provides up to 1.5 hours of charging in five minutes."

Shouldn't that say: "There's a 5-minute Fast Fuel feature that provides up to 1.5 hours of listening time in five minutes."

although really expensive, there are many of us for whom the airpods just do not fit. i know this type of design will fit my ear, so it may be worth the money.

i bought one of those airpod knockoffs (i12, which is BT5) just to see if i could make them fit with the 3m tape hack and they sort of fit but still come loose and the sound quality degrades. despite not being apple-made, they are actually really cool with all the touch controls, and pair very easily and reliably reconnect. if there were a similar powerbeats pro knockoff i'd be all over that, but for now it seems all the over-ear wireless anker/etc. have wires between the two earbuds.

Listen, go on Amazon and get the little covers that have hooks for the AirPods. My ears were the same way. The hooks that go on the AirPods are like $5 for a set of 3 sizes. They aren’t perfect and u have to take them off when U charge the AirPods IN their charging case, but they stay in my ears now 100% without any question or discomfort at all. They hooks are exactly the same as the ones on the back of my BOSE sports and stay in the same way; perfect.

What I do to not lose them is keep my AirPods in a little zip bag that is the same size width as the AirPods case. In the bag I keep the charging case, the rubber hooks, and a lighting cable to charge the case if needed. This keeps everything together (when I use the AirPods I take them out of their case and then take out the hooks, put them on, then put the AirPods in and keep the case and cable on the bag. When I want to recharge the AirPods, I take them out of my ear(s), place them in the charging case, and then put the case and hooks all back in the bag. This also keeps everything dry as well.

This was the BEST $5 I ever spent as I can use the AirPods as designed and enjoy them. And even with the rubber hooks on them while IN my ears, I can still use ALL the features (tap to pause, next track, etc.), use the speaker when answering calls, hear my music perfectly, and use “hey Siri” without any issue at all. It is worth the effort to try and see if this fix works for you; it worked for me and pretty much everyone in my family without “Apple Ears” lol.

What makes them Pro? Truly wireless worth $50 more? H1 chip - too much for me
They only put the “pro” tag there so they can launch it as a new product instead of the upgrade to the previous power beats, thereby they can charge more

Nothing. The Airpods are priced extremely competitively. Their best competitor, Jabra Elites are $165. Samsung Galaxy Buds are $165. Sony's WF series starts at $178. Bose Soundsports are $199. And the Jabra Sport is $199.

And then when you get to the top end of the market, B&O's are $350. And Sennheiser Momentums are $299. So no, the Airpods are not even close to being a tough sell.

Pretty sure it’s 9 hours without the case, since most BT earbuds that size with a wire between the earbuds can do 8 or 9 hours easily, not to mention there is no point not making the earbuds + case 24 hours at least like the AirPods.

Looking at how well the AirPods has been selling for the past two years and considering the fact that they are almost never discounted, these are most probably going to sell very well even at the higher price point.

Well those are large and in charge but I guess the styling looks sleekish still at least? The problem with spending big bucks on wireless ear buds is the the life and number of charge cycles you get. I don't think you can really replace these batteries so if they only last a couple of years that's a lot money to spend on a 2 year rental.

I don’t get why people like headphones without wires. I love the fact that I can take off my headphones and just have them hang around my neck.
I was using JayBirds since 2012 and got sick of the wire pulling, snagging, or sticking to my sweaty neck while working out. Airpods interested me when they came out, but I was worried the fit would be like the wired EarPods, which hurt my ears.

I finally said screw it and bought a pair of AirPods, never going back to wired.

Never liked beats sounding headphones so no thanks airpods are for me, some people will be like wow its black now lol but nah beats never sound good to me
Yeah I thought it was just me but a lot of people say that. I picked up a pair of wired earbuds at Target for $5 that sound better than the wired lightning Beats earbuds I got for Christmas.

I do have a pair similar in design to these earbuds but with a wire between them. It sounds ok and works well on calls and is comfortable. So I could see the appeal.of these for very active people who want total freedom from wires. But that price...
