Why white though. Makes the whole bezel even more stand out. Should have just used the same color as the iMac itself for the chin
Yes! I’d be happy if the bezels and chin matched the same material and color as the back. These new iMacs are reminding me of the ugliest Nano ever made.

Can you at least adjust the RAM to be more than 16 GB? That's my main question here lol

I think it's clear they need to rethink their marketing strategy and they just alienated a ton of Apple users they forgot about the market where the folks have been using the products for years they put this iPad on a stand and called it a computer.
No, it's not even an iPad, it's a ChinPad on stick, for our pleasure.

👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 I’m fine with the chin but those white bezels are atrocious.

All the YouTubers who were hyping up the 32" M1X being announced today will be feeling a bit silly now! I think this is pretty poor, really. It just looks unremarkable. The current iMac has a bit of character about it, you know what you're looking at the moment you see it. This is just a generic screen with an M1 chip in a naff colour! The wait wasn't worth it. They should have launched this with the other M1s.

Think the same - refurbed MacMini with the LG 27 5k monitor. I do like the iMacs though. Getting new iPad Pro 12.9 and ATV for sure.
I have just about everything I need for the mini - 2 monitors (older but work), keyboard and mouse. All i need is one more monitor adapter.

Everyone's saying this is a mainstream device to justify the lame-sized 24" display and M1 with its limitations, but how much of the mainstream even buys desktop computers any more rather than laptops or even iPads instead?

Personally, I was really looking forward to finally replacing my 2012 Mac Pro, and it's not going to be with one of these toy iMacs. I have an M1 MBP and I know what it can do. It's a fantastic machine but inadequate for my desktop production needs.

This seems like a bridge machine with a new design that just uses the same M1 chip from last year's MacBooks? So I'm assuming "8 cores" actually means 4 of them are efficiency cores, and I'm also assuming it maxxes out at 16 GB RAM? That's too bad, will be a great machine for a lot of people but still not a great replacement for higher-end configs or iMac Pro.

Looking forward to a 30" iMac with 8-12 performance cores, 16 GPU cores, and at least 64 GB RAM option. Hopefully next year.

God damn you Apple..... you're going to make us wait for the larger 27/30" version for a black/space grey colour aren't you... aren't you!?!
