Looks like ethernet is in the power brickNo Ethernet?
No USB A?
Eurgh. It’s a no from me. I’ll keep my 2011 iMac.
Ok. So twenty years give or take! I didn't realise the really minis had an external brick. First I had was in 2011.The G4 Cube from back in 2000 had a (much larger) external brick. Likewise some of the early minis.
I suspect that there will be an iMac Pro of some sort at WWDC, this is where the black/gray options come in. Because so far, there is no replacement for the 27" Intel model. And I hope that Pro model loses the "chin", given it gets a bigger screen with more 'real estate' behind it.Wth, no way will you see something like this in a professional environment. Atleast give us a choice for a silver or black model and give us black bezels!
Would you rather have a notch at the top? It's like a logo, to identify it as an apple product, otherwise from the front, it looks like a competitor's productThe chin... why?![]()
I don't think, it will. Apple will you, to buy different dongles, hubs, card readers and such.Yeah I'm watching the same video funnily enough....
No SD card slot on a desktop computer is a joke. Given how people are yelling for it to come back on the rumoured 14" and 16" MacBook Pro
Think of it as iPhone regular (colours) vs iPhone Pro Max. These dark colours are reserved for the new iMac Pro with M1X that is due at the end of this year.Where's the Matte black model?
The chin&bezel whinging makes me laugh too. Like MR has ever been right about an Apple product.Oh, I am going to slowly savor all the angst in this thread over the bezels and chin. First world problems, people...like really ZERO World Problems. But keep on crying and whining, it’s hilarious.
That's what the logo sticker is for.View attachment 1760466
Do they hate the apple logo?
And what does it look like when turned off? Our iMac at home sits in the corner and looks pretty stylish with the black screen and bezel. it is hard to see this new model looking nice with the white border around (I presume) a black screen.View attachment 1760466

Yeah pretty sad. I'm sure it rocks performance-wise but it looks like an iPad on a stick with dongle hanging out its ass. Hopefully they'll offer a new pro version in 27"+ and ditch the 90's gummy bear candy colors for some space grey, gray-green … something with a more professional edge.I've never cared for the iMac, but I'm not sure why they still care about how thin it is. It's a desktop.
They could have gotten rid of the stupid chin, made it thicker in the back and incorporated the power supply and everything else without a power brick dangling from a desk or on the floor. No USB-A either, a final F-U to anyone with older accessories that still work just fine. More dongles, hubs and other BS will be necessary.
