This is not the new iMac you've been looking for! said in my best Obiwan voice.
Honestly this is for casual consumers. Ill upgrade to a 27" top spec intel and that should tie me over for 3 years and by that time the dust has settled on M1.

As design goes, they've made a Jimmy Hill.

Wth, no way will you see something like this in a professional environment. Atleast give us a choice for a silver or black model and give us black bezels!
As a person who did IT when the first colored iMacs were out, you will absolutely see these in professional environments. Especially professional environments that are creative houses (design, photography, film, etc.)

It may well sell but I think this will be a moment in Apple's history when they wonder why it went so wrong.

That white chin... Really, once you see it you can't un-see it.

Like it or not we all want the look to be at least a certain way that it does not detract from what you are doing on screen. I can't see how that white chin will not cause an issue that you just won't get used to.

Guys...there’s clearly going to be a “power user” model. This is the entry level device. I suspect WWDC is going to show off the power MacBook Pros and power iMacs...I think these are neat for your average consumer, and more than enough power for them.

Typical Apple. That power and only 8GB RAM and 256GB storage at base config. In countries where we cannot have BTO, this is ridiculous.

Loving the new models, despite the chin - which I don't care about.
What I do love:
> Going from 21.5 to 24 inches
> 1080P front cam with better image processing
> Better mic and speakers
> Touch ID on keyboard
> M1!!!

Delivered all I had wanted!

The chin is a result of keeping the profile thin....which while attractive from the side, looks worse from the front.

I'm thinking @ WWDC we get: 32" iMac Pro, 14" MacBook Pro, 16" MacBook Pro all with M1-X. Time to step above the M1... especially now that its in the iPad Pro.

Lol. This is so funny. This is replacing the 21 inch. Not the 27. They even said that. This is for students people who work at home etc. Not professional offices. You need the chin for cooling. How do you expect to cool the device. If there was no chin the back would be super thick. And I would rather have a chin and lots of people don’t really care. There is a redesigned 27 inch coming. Like it’s not that hard to figure out. The macrumors people are so funny. They live in their own bubble and act like they are the target market for these products
