Agree with your complaint.
This shows the same design mistakes about "connectivity" that the 2016-2019 MacBook Pros had (and which looks to be getting fixed with the upcoming 14"/16" MBP's).
Looks like "the chin" is here to stay with iMacs, for at least the next 5-7 years.
No upgradeable RAM -- the larger-sized iMac that is yet to be announced probably won't have upgradeable RAM, either. I reckon this has to do with the "unified memory" of the m-series CPUs. Non-upgradeable and non-repairable.
These would still be attractive machines for many users and some corporate environments that still use Macs.
I won't be getting one.

OK, ethernet in the power brick. Actually, this is a wise move, moving the power supply (with its heat) to an external unit. If the power supply fails at some point, replacement is easy.
They should do this with the larger iMac, too.
