Power button on the bottom = who cares
I've scrupulously moved all my media, my downloads and documents folders, and large apps to the external SSD (at least those that cooperate), and still I've filled up more than half of my 512gb. 256 just doesn't cut it. Keep in mind your SSD likes plenty of free space to do wear leveling, tooI still balk at paying £200 for 256GB of extra storage... I find that criminal and I'd like to have words with the specific person at Apple who signs off on that level of gouging.. but I do want one.
Power button on the back I'll give you, but I would call the headphone jack being in the back bad designIt's poor design. The audio jack and power button should both be on the back, there is room.
Yeah I guess that's true, Apple don't seem that proud of it though, not a single promo shot shows it being used. Maybe it's just because Apple want everyone to use airports 😅Convenience. Most people don't use headphone amps or DAC's.
The good thing about them being pre-recorded is you can just skip ahead.Someone needs to edit the Apple Intelligence and Environmental Impact aspects out of these announcements.
Honey I shrunk the Mac studioOh my god it's adorable!
I'll wait for benchmarks before buying
I kind of know the order they refresh their website: First the newsroom, then the product page, then the store pagewhere did they announce it? its not even on their site
too subtle of sarcasm for some...People are really reaching to the bottom of the barrel to find things to complain about this time
It's poor design. The audio jack and power button should both be on the back, there is room.
What i can't get away from with the desktop Macs, either buy Apple's overpriced, under-featured, touch ID keyboard/an Apple watch or get left putting in a password like it's the 90's.
I like the idea of them, I just can't.
When it actually works 😂I unlock with Apple Watch.
This comes down to how people use their computers and everyone will have different use-cases. I am not constantly plugging things into ports on my Mac mini. I have one free Thunderbolt cable plugged into the back of my Apple Display and ready to use for the rare occasion when I need to quickly plug something in. I've not used a headphone jack in ages, and my Mac mini is not hidden. I also hate USB-A and cannot understand why people just can't let it die (glad Apple didn't cling onto it like many others have). But again, to each their own.Amazing the number of people that put form over function. Personally, reaching around the back to plug in a USB device is a pain in the butt, especially if the Mini is under or behind my monitor. Front-facing ports are on every desktop PC in existence and make total sense here.
Check Best Buy for a promotion, they'll probably be offering a decent trade-in promo, they've been doing it for other recent launches.arrgghhhh my m2 mac mini I got this summer.
I SHOULDVE WAITED!
True. If you are going to use an external DAC you may as well use a USB one. You can get a better one that way.Convenience. Most people don't use headphone amps or DAC's.
I say wait a year, until the Studio and the Pro are updated. I would expect the XDR to be updated before the Studio Display, but who knows 🤷♂️holy moly thunderbolt 5 its real… fingers crossed for new 5k 120hz display this week??
