Awesome! Just installed it. Only problem is now Adium crashes every time it starts up. I think the new version of webkit has screwed up Adium. I even downloaded the latest beta of Adium to test, and it has the same problem.

Anyone else using Adium have this issue?

Fine for me on the latest Adium beta.

Unfortunately, "Reader" doesn't seem to work too well. I tried it on the first article I came across, which was two pages. Reader picked up the first page, then a completely different article for a second page.

Snappy as hell for me.

Yeah, I don't get it. Safar 4 was perfectly fine in the speed department (equal to Chrome), but loading some web pages in Safari 5 so far has been slow as snails.

I'm not a fan of the new blue progress bar. It looked more elegant before. This looks like something from Firefox.

Just installed this and it borked my ethernet. Can't get an IP address anymore.

Finally!

"Tabs Setting
Safari 5 helps you clean up your desktop. A simple setting lets you open new web pages in tabs — instead of separate windows. No more screen clutter, and no more clicking across multiple browser windows to find what you want."

does it also automatically reload tabs from previous session?

Odd, Adium is working fine for me.

Tabs aren't in the title bar though. :(

Ewww.

Been using it for the last 10 minutes on an iMac 2008.

Slower than Chrome, noticeably.

Faster to load tho.

Reader fails on a few pages, as noted previously in comments.

Lack of extensions, still, = NO DEAL.

Sorry, but Chrome:Mac has got this thing beaten by miles. And if you're going to complain about it being 3% faster in JS execution, can it because Opera beats both by wide margins.

Odd, I still have the tabs on the bottom and I had the blue loading bar before the update, weird.

The update seems to also have messed up my internet, just tried on another computer and my ipad and it's just as slow

Not for me.

Overall, a good update. Glad to see the blue loading bar back. I still don't get why they have to put the refresh button on the address bar though.

It is a reload button. And it makes sense to be next to the URL it is "loading".
