I know nobody else seems to care, but I still miss the SNAPBACK feature in Safari.

It was just simply fantastic for digging through newspaper websites and then just clicking a button and being able to go right back to the front page of the newspaper.

Steve Jobs touted the feature when Safari was originally released, then they unceremoniously yanked it. Sad.

I know, somebody's gonna post a response and say nobody digs through newspapers anymore or newspaper websites, but I still prefer news from them, especially local news than blogger sites, so I'd really like to see that feature come back.

Just downloaded it using the Mac Software Update. Seems a little quicker than the old one. Looks to be a progression bar in the URL address area as you load a page.

Is that a new feature?

New address bar is brilliant. Type in any word from any url, including the title of a webpage, and there it is. Something that -really- impressed me about Chrome…but now in Safari!

It's an old feature from Safari 3 that they took away from Safari 4 for some unknown reason. Now it's back! Finally :)

Awesome! Just installed it. Only problem is now Adium crashes every time it starts up. I think the new version of webkit has screwed up Adium. I even downloaded the latest beta of Adium to test, and it has the same problem.

Anyone else using Adium have this issue?

In the process of changing.

I got the page that looked like yours.

The a minute later, it was about 75% Fiveified, with only the one mention of Safari 4; but also with the "headline" reading "See the web in a whole new way." with "Introducing Safari 5." superimposed over the top of the second line of the other tagline.
