scrolling hangs at MR homepage

Have you tried to scroll over the youtube video on the homepage? On my uMBP, it hangs when using the trackpad. Same thing happens on youtube.

Ewww.

Been using it for the last 10 minutes on an iMac 2008.

Slower than Chrome, noticeably.

Faster to load tho.

Reader fails on a few pages, as noted previously in comments.

Lack of extensions, still, = NO DEAL.

Sorry, but Chrome:Mac has got this thing beaten by miles. And if you're going to complain about it being 3% faster in JS execution, can it because Opera beats both by wide margins.

When Chrome can scroll a web page without lagging behind my cursor, I'll consider it a viable alternative.

just got it. It feels a tad slower than Safari 4? But the 'reader' is excellent!

Well, give it time for extensions to appear.

Chrome is good, but there is no PPC version, and it puts its close buttons on the right.

Is there anything I can click to start a new tab, like in Firefox, or do I need to Command-T it? I only see that horrid multi-view Top Sites thing on the top left corner.

Middle mouse scrolling always hangs on embedded flash objects. They are in a separate fixed-size view that has no scrolling.

HTML5 videos don't have this inherent problem.

I've just noticed the speed on Safari 5 and its slow for me. It started faster but both firefox and chrome were faster loading pages. Just the post reply thing on this thread took safari 5 seconds while firefox instantly brought it up.
