Series 10 looks good. Slimmer and bigger. Shiny jet black is nice. Polished Titanium is very good.

So I have three USB-c plugs, two on my 27 inch iMac, one on my iPad Pro Plug. Are these capable of charging this watch at full speed? Do I need to buy a Apple charger or can I just get something handy from Anker that costs half as much but provides the same power output?

So many misconceptions here. Suggest going to Apple and start putting in an order - to get honest answers.

FaceTime is banned in UAE. People who purchase iPhone in Dubai don’t have FaceTime app on their phones. It’s not supported in that region.

Hundreds of thousands of Indians purchase iPhones from Dubai to save import duties and government taxes. It is even cheaper than US price. They simply activate iPhone in Dubai, take few photos, put it in their pockets and bring that iPhone back to India. No custom (import) officers at Indian airports can touch them.

After entering India, they just factory reset their iPhones, change the region and voila FaceTime app magically appears on their devices. And it works flawlessly in our country.

I doubt Apple ship AW S10 without that SpO2 sensor, they might be limiting that measurement through software. However we need to verify this before making a purchase.
I don’t see it mentioned in the tech specs but maybe it’s just hidden

Yup was about to write the same.
Here is the link for full spec. Of course could not write 9 instead of 10 in link as it’s discontinued every year 🤦‍♂️
Here's the S9 tech specs - Apple keeps them for all (most?) watches in their Support section.

How is the cellular version lighter than the version with only GPS? 🧐
Exactly, I saw the same thing. It's a little odd. I wonder if they just made a mistake somewhere. Unless the crown weighs less on the one with the red ring... which is also missing from the images, but I think this was also the case for the previous launch. I think they added the red ring images after.

Silver is not limited to the Hermes version.
I'm only seeing three options for the Titanium Apple Watch: Natural, Gold, and Slate.

Likewise in the "Watch Studio", these are the only available options.

You have to switch over to the Hermés edition in order to find the Silver option.

Or am I looking in the wrong place?

Apologies, when it comes to the titanium version you are correct. Aluminum is still available in Silver.

I think Apple's website images of the natural may not really represent the actual color.

For example look at DCRainmaker's video showing the three titanium models at 7:28

Is the bezel on the S10 bigger than on S9?

Currently have a space gray S4 and this year could be the year for a new one. Glad they stopped the midnight/starlight nonsense (I much prefer a more neutral color), but I’m concerned about the jet black finish…

A decent upgrade for anyone with an S5 or earlier. First decent update in many years. At least Apple is doing something.

I hear you. It happens with many features. By the way don’t you think Ultra is more geared towards athletes and sportspersons? I see many people opting for Ultra due to bigger display with 3000 nits outdoor display brightness & more battery life. I find Series 10 more elegant than Ultra. What are your reasons behind opting for Ultra 2?

PS: Year over year, these updates are becoming incremental with alarmingly thin marginal changes. One should only opt for upgrade if the current model is no longer supported software wise. Even then one should hold on to the device for further 1-2 years. These products are made for long lasting. With a battery service, one can easily use any Apple Watch for 7-8 years.

I'm feeling more in line with what you are saying here today. My sister that is not a "sportsperson" got the original ultra and LOVES it. But, she isn't a "sportsperson" she just likes the big display. She's also petite, but it works for her and she doesn't complain about it being too large or heavy.

On apple's website today I compared my existing 7, the 10 and the Ultra 2. Yeah, the differences are minor except for the size and weight of the ultra. The quoted battery life is the same for the 7 and 10, my 7 is nearly 3 years old with 83% battery life. The first year I only charged it while in the shower, the second year I only charged it while getting ready for work, now I'm often charging it for 15-30 minutes in the middle of the day while I'm stationary at my work computer AND while getting ready for work each day. So I have concerns with going for the 10 vs the ultra for battery reasons alone. I also like the red display on the ultra, granted one should be able to create something similar on the 10.

Not sure if I already stated this, but I sleep with mine on, and while the 10 would be similar as far as size and weight, sure its a bit slimmer, the ultra would be the opposite direction, larger and heavier. Not sure if it would bother me in my sleep or not.

I'm going to wait it out, first to see what people say the differences are internally. I may just rock this 7 another year and wait for Ultra 3.

DCRainmaker has a good photo in his hands-on article here: https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2024/09/apple-watch-series-10-hands-on-details.html

To my eye it seems the bezel under the crustal is similar size or maybe slightly bigger, but is offset by a larger crystal and less visible watch casing.

My guess is that in real world usage nobody but the most persnickety would notice the difference beyond a side-by-side comparison.

Edit: found the S9 display sizes in the comparison tool and the 46mm S10 display is 5.2% bigger (area) than 45mm S9, and 6.7% bigger for the 42mm watch. 46mm display also slightly larger than the Ultra2. See https://www.apple.com/watch/compare/?modelList=watch-series-9,watch-series-10,watch-ultra-2

Strictly speaking it's possible the bezel is larger, but IMHO that would be immaterial given the display is larger.

Thanks, that’s the kind of picture I was looking for! The proportions of the S10 will need some getting used to.

Will probably wait a little bit to hear about the jet black finish’s durability
