AW10 has a metal and sapphire crystal rear, no longer ceramic and sapphire crystal. Guarantee some people will react and have red marks on their skin.

Doesn't show up on UK web site

If I compare Series 9 vs Series 10 it references the Blood Oxygen app: IMG_8189.png

Could be an oversight on Apple’s part; they sometimes erroneously list Apple Cash eg “send money via Messages” on certified models on the UK site sometimes even though we can’t 😬

Will probably come down to price for me. S10 TT vs U2 Black vs S9 SS Graphite (if on sale). Have to get a sapphire screen as my s7 Alu is horrendously scratched up like every Alu version I’ve ever had.

Heartbroken there's no silver stainless steel... I've been buying them since S2... there's not a single colour way I like now, and none match any of my existing straps.
Consider the Hermes? It's 'silver' vs. 'natural' Titanium, FWIW.

The S10 has blood oxygen in Norway: "Oksygen i blodet-app"

Edit: Mentioned on the UK site, too: "Blood Oxygen app"

It's a US patent issue, so likely not applicable in many other locations.

Good to see they seem to be including the hardware for it, perhaps in case the patent dispute gets worked out and they can reenable the feature.

To me it's pretty clear that the S10 chip is just a slightly tuned version of the S9 chip in the Ultra 2, as they both have the same base connectivity (except for the dual-band GPS on Ultra 2), the battery fast-charge time is exactly two times faster on the S10 which makes sense since it's half the rated battery life, so if the chips were the same more-or-less, this would make sense - especially since they're both tested using the same standard 20W Apple charger per the footnotes. The prices for the S10 Titanium are just a tad less than U2 ($749 vs $799) - but for me, the U2 is almost certainly the same chip, has a better battery life by far, and the ceramic casing is a big one among all the other small changes above.

Will the previous watch bands work with the Apple Watch 10?

Per Apple: "Older Apple Watch bands, including 41mm and 45mm sizes, will be compatible with the new 42mm and 46mm cases, and all new 42mm and 46mm bands will be compatible with older Apple Watch models" 👍

I am taking reference of above article.

Can anyone shed any light on this? If anyone opts for aluminium finish with jet black colour then will that Apple Watch be more prone to scratches than usual?

Impressed that they managed to make it this much thinner. However it's titanium instead of stainless steel, which makes me worry about the price as the titanium models of the regular Apple Watches used to be much more expensive than the stainless steel models
It's just marketing. Titanium it's not gold, it's no so expensive

I don't think we'll know until they are in the hands of those that test these devices. I'm interested too. I was wanting a black Ultra 3, but I'm not sure about buying a year-old watch in a new color. On the other hand, if its the same processor relabeled as S10, I might be more inclined to go ahead and upgrade. Then again, my 7 still has a working O2 sensor that I just used for the first time probably since I purchased the watch 3 years ago. 🤣
I hear you. It happens with many features. By the way don’t you think Ultra is more geared towards athletes and sportspersons? I see many people opting for Ultra due to bigger display with 3000 nits outdoor display brightness & more battery life. I find Series 10 more elegant than Ultra. What are your reasons behind opting for Ultra 2?

PS: Year over year, these updates are becoming incremental with alarmingly thin marginal changes. One should only opt for upgrade if the current model is no longer supported software wise. Even then one should hold on to the device for further 1-2 years. These products are made for long lasting. With a battery service, one can easily use any Apple Watch for 7-8 years.

This is what I meant.
You will be surprised to see that some cases and bands still market as for the "42mm".

Kind of crazy that the 'small' watch is now the same case height as the original 'large' watch - and wider. I'm betting the 38mm nearly fits inside the display of the new 42mm.

Battery lasts all day for me - from when I wake to when I go to bed.

If I've done a long workout I drop it on the charger while I grab a shower.

Not exactly horrendous...
This.

I've never felt that charging it for a bit at bedtime and in the a.m. before heading out the door is a big deal .... YMMV.
