Anyone think Apple Watch 2 is going to come in the Fall ? I want to think that but I feel there would've been alot more leaked by now if that was the case. Probably next year ?

Looks like a solid update to the WatchOS, addressing many of my issues. I never used the "friends" circle thing, so using that button to go between apps is a huge bonus. I really hope the speed is dramatically increased, even if only for a few select "favorite" apps, that would make the Watch usable.

I sent in a feedback request for a 24-hour analog face (hour hand makes one revolution per day, not two). I'm hoping that'll be an option in at least the Utility face. I know it's not something a lot of people want, but hopefully it can make its way in.

I was really expecting thirdparty faces to be added so someone could make one that way. :(

I wonder what all the complaints were about? Seems like they fixed the major problem with the watch was the slow loading apps. Reminds me of the fix to the original Mac OS X with the slow app launching. No hardware upgrade, fixed with just software.

This was my favourite part of the keynote. It fixes many of the issues with the Watch. The potential is there but it always fell short because apps didn't launch immediately or were hard to get at. Apple recognized this by focusing on the Watch as a glanceable device.

I wonder what happened to the app grid. Is it still launched by clicking the digital crown? The side button should have been reserved for this, not a 911 function. Clicking once would show the dock, clicking and holding would launch the app grid for less used apps. Double clicking should remain for Wallet/ApplePay.

The digital crown should be reserved for navigation. Scrolling and selecting. Scroll through options and press to select/enter. Press and hold to return to the watch face.

This may push me to finally getting a watch (assuming this doesn't hurt performance) as I feel this update has frankly addressed my biggest gripe of the watch feeling like nothing more than a $300 accessory notification device. (Before anyone jumps on me for this I've formulated my opinion based on my wife's watch that she's had for the better part of a year now).

On the other hand I feel like Ive waited long enough, I can wait a little longer for revamped hardware lol.

I still don't understand how people don't know this fact. Has apple ever done new hardware at wwdc?

I think there's been times where the last thing is, "and here's the new MacBook you can code on!!!" announcements. I think if Apple is truly making a new MacBook design, they'll single out a separate, smaller event for it.

Am I the only one concerned that SOS will be triggering all kinds of false 911 calls? I mean my watch takes about 5 accidental screenshots per day...who knows what could cause the side-button to be depressed for more than 3sec...

Great idea - though I think the execution should be slightly different. The rest of the updates were phenomenal.
I imagine this could be disabled. I can't speak from personal experience but my wife has never accidentally taken screen shots; I know this because all photos are shared and back up in two different locations automatically . Perhaps there will need to be some manual input as well (if this is addressed in the keynote I haven't been able to watch yet. I've only been able to skin transcripts).

Super excited about WatchOS... not only do I love the deeper integration of the various OS devices with being able to unlock your mac with your watch, and copy and paste across devices, but I *very much* applaud the focus on speed for the watch, without needing new hardware. It looks AWESOME. The one thing I felt the watch's fitness aspect always needed was some social networking, to allow smack talk and such. This is a great, great step, that really should have been there from the get go. I love my watch more now, and building that sense of community is ONLY going to draw in more users. This is a major plus for the future of the watch as a device. Last year the focus seemed to be a bit too much on the watch as a fashion device. This shows that they care about the interface, too.

I feel the fact that there were zero leaks is a decent indicator that we won't have anything slated for this year. Obviously this is just a hunch, but "everything" Apple gets leaks, if not in the physical form, the "rumor that spreads like wildfire" form. And I don't think we have heard even the least tangible rumor on the Apple Watch front.

In left at a bit of a crossroads because I feel I've waited long enough to not get a watch that I should just wait it out. But this update looks so good that I may not want to.
