Netflix is too expensive nowadays. Seems like they’re always trying to follow Apple’s business plan.
True, however you often need to copy a rivals business pricing plan to keep competitive. In that the cost of bidding / out bidding for films / TV (that Apple will also be bidding for) and creating content, need to be paid for. So the increase in comparative pricing is annoying, but understandable. As we know from Apple and Music, they will steam roll those who stand still.

Netflix is still far better than Apple TV for content and interface IMO, so that is where my money goes for now.

While I'm enjoying the limited but quality Apple TV offerings, I have found no interest in Apple Arcade, despite having it in my subscription.

Playing on the mac, especially via rosetta, is a lackluster experience and i don't play on my smartphone.

If the game were to be updated for apple silicon and on running on the new generation chips coming this year, the situation could be different.

It seems like forum posters here hate Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Spotify, Epic, Netflix, and basically any successful internet-based business.

I'm just curious. What you all actually like?

Apple needs to stop piss farting around with these crap games on Apple Arcade, they need to start buying these well known gaming companies instead, not like they can’t afford it. 🙄
Why do they need to put games on iOS? I'm sure game devs can decide on their own whether or not to do so.

Apple needs to acquire game studios. I know Netflix won’t have any hesitations doing so. Especially if they’re trying to show they can do graphic intensive games, on their new silicone chips. I don’t know Solitaire, and upgrading Angry Birds is going to get people to sign up.

Apple would just ban their game streaming app from their walled garden like they did with XCloud and Stadia. Why not since the regulators are Asleep at the wheel?
Yeah, excluding the fact that you can play xCloud and Stadia on Apple devices, you just can’t play those on Apple devices.

I am a hardcore Apple fanboy and even I know Apple Arcade had all the potential in the world,
No, the only potential inherent in Apple Arcade is the potential to NOT include IAP’s. That’s it. Oh, and the potential for some smaller devs to try out a new idea, flesh it out with feedback from users, then present it to a broader console market. Anyone that was expecting “loot boxed FPS of the month” didn’t really understand the point of Apple Arcade.

I'm struggling to reconcile your second sentence with your closing one 🤔
When you have a long term plan to build your own content network, you don't need big acquisitions and announcements to boost subscribers early on. You can take your time to build it properly instead of buying MGM for instance.

As a non-Apple share holder... I couldn't care less. Why should I care about Apple Arcade success? The offering is bad compared to the others and money is so much better spent else where. Apple is in the gaming business for the cash grab nothing else, they have nothing to offer. Unless they change in the future, but this whole organisation has nothing to do with gaming and never cared about it.

Typical click-bait headline. They're not facing more competition because Netflix hasn't yet released such a service. Until that point, there's no additional competition from Netflix.

BREAKING: SpaceX facing more competition from space ships I may or may not build in my garage at some point in the future.

Actually its better to prepare for future risks. Palm didn't care about iPhones, until the iphone came out. See where that took them.

Agreed. Apple really needs to step-up their game in this market. (no pun intended) I see the competition getting much stronger. I think they need to include some of the more popular titles and include high end games. Probably easier said than done, however, that is what needs to be done.
