Sigh. Really? We're going to start this "toy" comment all over again? Have you even used it? Let's see I work at a University where many professors are trying to teach our classes. GASP
it works like a bulky laptop. Oh no, we can do everything we need and not have to carry more weight.....
If The USA were not as hypocritical and greedy as you think, that would be true. You can have a checking and a credit account in the USA even if you are illegal. You can even pay or get a return of taxes. Banks, restaurants, phone companies and even Bestbuy like illegals. It is just the USA Propaganda that show them as the mean and ugly people.

I hate a crontrolling Apple. I am glad they relaxed a little.
I suppose since her funds are very limited, she could have opted for a $300 laptop from Walmart but she wanted an iPad--I'm sure it was a big deal to her and something that she wanted to do for herself. Most of us would not want to try and use an iPad without a computer to sync and backup but I'm sure she will do just fine on her own--she can always go to the Apple store if she needs help.

I wonder what she's doing for WiFi considering that she doesn't own a computer. Or maybe she's sharing WiFi with a neighbour? Just wondering what would be required for the iPad to be a stand alone device. I think it's assumed when you buy one that you have a normal computer with a modem and wireless router... etc.

Cash is cash. The same value as what's connected to your debit card. No excuse for not accepting. None whatsoever.
Hell, its even MORE convenient, because the store isn't paying credit card processing fees on the transaction. GET AWAKE NOW.

My grandparents came to this country legally. Legal immigration is a great thing and great opportunity. Illegal immigration is a Federal Crime. But, our government couldn't care less about it. Obama included.

Step three: lose money handily while agreeing to pay more benefits and increase salaries
Step four: Lay offs
Step five: replace management with more incompetent management
Step six: cycle back to step one a few more times
Step seven: Complain to the government and receive huge bail-out check
Step eight: pay-out management bonuses
Step nine: go back to step one.

This is so stupid. How is she going to pay for any internet access + wireless router to use the thing? How is she going to set it up w/o a computer?
This story smells fishy. My favorite part is how she had been saving up for months and months just to buy an iPad. The dang thing has only been available for a couple of months.
