I ordered within minutes of it going live and the ship date slipped from 30th to the 2nd! Wtf!?
I think that is the first wave of deliveries isn't it?
I'm sure if it had gone live on the UK site before the US site the response would have been exactly the same but from the other side of the Atlantic.

I ordered mine for regular delivery if I go to the store on Friday and they have it I will buy it and return the one I get in the mail. Easy peezy!
Just ordered the 64GB version with two of the SteelSeries controllers. So I hope there will be at least a couple of multi-player games available when the thing arrives (or at least, in the near future).
I reckon they will, but I not sure if it will be on launch day
Understandable. I completely agree. I'm still contemplating on whether the TV is for me or not. I'd mostly be using it for Airplay. Still not sure if that's enough to justify seeing as most of my A/V products have SMART apps.sorry bud, hard to read how text should be said when on forums

It's delivered but it's on its way tomorrow...Well, if you're telling the truth, Apple had better open the App store today. Otherwise there won't be too much you can do with it (unless the retail models ship with all of the old ATV 3 channels pre-installed - the developer kits did not).
Ordered mine at 8:55am via the App and says Delivers: Nov 2 - Nov 4 with FREE shipping.
Lots of people have Fire TVs, Nexus, ChromeCast & existing Apple TVs. And when you speak of gaming.. people have Xboxs & Playstations to satisfy their gaming needs.
I wanna get more information before taking the plunge. I already have a ChromeCast, Apple TV3 & Nexus Player. Most wanted app I want on the Apple TV is the Plex app, I know that's quite awhile away.
Most likely they won't. Amazon has already stopped selling Apple TVs and also all Google TV related gadgets.
I would look at the big picture in this regard. 10% of $200 is $20, (this is speaking about the U.S. prices) is $20 savings worth the trouble of waiting for the stores to get one, driving to an Apple store, dealing with the crowd in the store and then after you buy it you have to wait until Discover refunds the 10%? For some, every penny counts, but for me I factor in my trouble and time which are way more valuable than a $20 savings.
