Also, yes, the Ps3 wii and 360 combined sold over 200 million devices, While Apple has only sold 85 million iPhones sine it's inception...

Last time i checked the iPhone is not a gaming console thats sits in your living room.

I hope iOS7 is more than pulling the gloss overlay off the icons and a couple crappy new apps thrown against the wall. They haven't really done anything exiting with iOS since way back when they released folders and wallpapers (and that was available long before via JB). Come on, Apple, get me exited again!

Clearly, in the new OS, Apple will be switching from Arabic numerals to Roman numerals system-wide.

You mean this:

Too bad the mirror image doesn't match up exactly.

Not yet, anyway.

At the WWDC convention in the year 2600 (MMDC), it will !!

If you invert the sign in Photoshop and play it backwards, it's says...

Paul is dead :D

Couldn't resist with everyone trying to find hidden meaning in every graphic Apple posts.

That somehow affects the fact that far more consoles were sold? Or the fact that people will be more excited about E3 with the console launches that haven't happened since last gen, vs Apple's yearly conference? Of course not, you're trying to win some ****** internet argument you've made up in your own head about some completely off topic point, that doesn't matter one bit.

So. Monday after Apple's Keynote. It can go two ways. Me jumping up and down because iOS 7 looks amazing and has awesome features. Or I can be looking to buy an Android phone. Preferably a Nexus 4 c:

I'm in the market for new 11" MBA. I need this. More than snuggling...

Actually, Apple has sold around 350 million iPhones since 2007 (probably around 400 million by now). More than all the Play stations or xboxes :D . And that's just the iPhones. Add 100 million ipod touches and 130 million iPads to that... :)

But in fairness: a lot of sales to the same people, meaning one guy buying each version or another buying every other version, while a console is not rolling out a "shut up and take my money", "I'm already in line"... or...

  • "Hate it (at first rumor),
  • "dumbest thing I've ever seen; Apple would never roll out something like that abomination" (at second rumor),
  • "warming up to it" (when it looks like those earlier rumors might actually be what Apple is doing)
  • "it's growing on me" (as the early rumors gain steam)
  • "want to see one for myself" (when early rumors seem very likely),
  • "now that I've seen one (now that Apple has announced it) it does look terrific to me (when rumor becomes reality)
  • "my credit card is ready" (as soon as it is for sale)
  • "best <idevice> ever" (as soon as they've purchased it), followed by gush, gush, gush and "how did we ever get by without this <feature previously bashed as dumbest thing I've ever seen>?"
  • begin bashing Samsung & other devices about whatever new feature was detested back at the top of this chain probably being copied soon
  • begin beating down any and all others pointing out how they don't like whatever this person didn't like back when this was thought to be pure speculation instead of something Apple might actually do,
  • begin or continue marginalizing other features & benefits on non-Apple devices that Apple left out as "gimmicks" and "useless to 99%" etc until Apple incorporates those same features & benefits. Then, they will be "best feature ever", "how did we ever get by without this?"... and, a few years later, recalling how Apple invented those features.
  • repeat as early rumors for next version of iDevice begin to pop up

...new version (of the console) every year.

Quite the opposite, in fact . . .

"A Whole New World"

They fixed Apple Maps! :D

As an Apple engineer working on Apple Maps, I'm not supposed to tell you this. But what we did was buy all of the land that shows up weird in Apple Maps. Then we re-sculpted, re-shaped, and re-landscaped reality so that it matches Maps.

I love it! I'm excited as the f word! :p:D
Seriously though, I'm really excited to see/hear what will be announced regarding iOS and I'm still holding out very minimal hope that they'll announce a 5S (probably won't - and not b/c some rumor said they wouldn't, I just don't think they will).

Now THAT's innovation!

Someone had a post the other day about a Chipotle in the middle of a river and I have an invisible Walmart in an empty field near where I live. I can't wait to eat that tex-mex in that underwater or floating Chipotle and then go buy a bunch of stuff I don't need at yet another Walmart- both built by Apple. It should be "magical".;)

Yeah......
Not that I disagree or doubt but a phone seems like a much bigger necessity and has more widespread use than a gaming console.
Now when the iPhone begins to outsell things like bread then we have a problem... :p

i would be VERY happy if apple would allow third party gamepads (ps3 for example) for ios... i mean... why not?

Does the xBox controller work with windows phone/tablet?

Does the PS3 controller work with Sony phones/tablets?
