Of course 2015 MBP is the model I want. I just hope they keep selling it on 2017, because I plan to purchase it with the Back to School deal.

I get more battery, several ports I actually use (USB, Thunderbolt -mini DP-, the great MagSafe...), and one of the best keyboards ever made.

My only hope is they to keep manufacturing it for several years. That way, I will have plenty of years of technical support before it become obsolete. You know, changing its battery a couple of times in 8-10 years, WiFi module if broken, etc...
Absolutely. You might have to buy it used but even then I'd buy it over the 2016 garbage. It's unbelievable that the new ones only get 5 hours max battery life. My 2012 model got 10 hours easy, and my 2015 model does as well. I buy everything new as well, so I know what kind of wear-and-tear I put my devices through. Even with heavy video editing I can get a decent battery life out of my 2015 model. But wow, the 2016 model is just flat-out disappointing.

"It's a fantastic machine" LOL. Way overpriced this year, and many complain of lackluster performance. 2015 is the model you want. Trust me, I have one. (Plus you get to keep all your ports) ;)
Yes but do I still want to buy it at the moment for full price? (As upgrade to 2011 13")

I love love LOVE how people keep beating the dead horse that is the Macbook Pro! Such a suck-fest. Tim and all the other VP's should all resign from embarrassment!

If the machine is so damn great, why must you constantly tell us?

It's the Timmy way of a providing reality distortion field. He's just not good at it.
He might as well say, "Please buy our fashion products cause our investors are telling us we need to make more profit."

not to beat a dead horse or anything, but for the cost of these machines, you would expect them to be damn near bug free

I agreed but that is really just wishful thinking. there are plenty of expensive products in the world that has problems. just look at the car industry.

Dont' blame the new machines, i get similar glitches on 2015 machine every time i leave the lid closed for longer periods of time.

I have a 13-inch 2016 MBP with Intel 550 graphics running in clamshell mode with an external 27" Dell 4K P2715Q and I am still getting all kinds of graphics tearing on Beta 16C60b.

I can upload a video of it if anyone wants.

ISSUE NOT FIXED.

Apple apparently believes normal use is reading emails and browsing the web.
If you're watching videos or playing games, you're not using the device correctly.
This is how you get up to 10 hours on a new MBP.

Apple executives appear to be increasingly using email as a vehicle to subtly address customer questions and concerns
Doubt being subtle is the goal. More likely an attempt to avoid publicity.
How is this a software issue?
Agreed. I've yet to see a technically-competent explanation of how this could be a software issue and this extrapolation from an unverified Federighi email is unconvincing.

Why do you think it must be hardware issue? Software can brake hardware and make it run weird. We know that.

It has to be software. The bottom 1/4 of screen flashes that upon startup (from full shutdown). Never see it anywhere else, any time.

Never had an issue with Apple products. It's really a non issue for me still, although would obviously like to see it remedied.

Early adapter of outdated hardware, battery fail (that should be a MacBook pro plus..) buggy software and dongle chaos. It sucks to be an early adapter of Apple products nowadays.

I love profit in exchange for my hard work, but I'll never step on anyone to get excessive profit.
It's just wrong!!! And this is what Apple, under Timmy, is doing. It's unethical, but unfortunately it's legal.
It's awesome how Timmy is so good at privacy ethics, but sucks at profit ethics. Business 101 I guess: Profit is the only thing that matters.

"It's a fantastic machine"
Hmmm... a premium price for a fashion statement but not a pro device.
Please replace Timmy and bring back pro devices. I'm sticking with my 2012 MBPr until a pro device comes out or I need to jump ship.

Same for me and my 17 inch 2011 MBP. It has the same amount of RAM as a new maxed out MBP anyways (because I could upgrade it myself - imagine that). Granted, the RAM is not as fast.

I have actually started taking a peak at HP ZBooks and Microsoft SurfaceBooks now. I have a workstation with Windows 10 and honestly it has been extremely stable for me.

"I hope that you enjoy your new MacBook Pro — it’s a fantastic machine!"

The condescending arrogance from this company towards it's customers is, dare I say...courageous? (I know, it's getting old but the phrase it 'just works')

It's Craig though, I don't think there was any malice in that statement.

Now had Phil or Tim said that, my eyes would roll out of my head.
