People doubting about only 9 bend iphone complements: how many pictures of bend iphones have you seen. So far i have only seen 3, but about 15 different posts with those same pictures.

Also did you see the guy who had the bend iphone? He must weight at least 300lbs. If Apple is at fault, it's because they mis-calculated how fat some people are getting in this world!

Again, depends on which problem you are talking about. If talk about the iPhone 4 antenna design and Apple stated during the Antennagate that they were happy with the design, which can only be interpreted as them not considering the reception problems to be due to the design of the antenna (or trying to push this narrative).

No, it doesn't. They didn't state what you claimed. Being happy with a design does not mean you think it's perfect.

You spun the facts. I thought is was funny that you had to spin the facts to provide an example of Apple spinning the facts. :D

I didn't find a statement of Apple acknowledging that the original iPhone 4 antenna design had issues, even after they released the re-designed antenna which fixed the original design's issues.

If you know about such a statement from Apple I'm actually interested.

So you're willing to read between the lines to support your spin, but you need an explicit statement in rebuttal. I didn't say they released a statement. I said they acknowledged it.

The free cases addressed the specific and real problem with the iPhone 4 antenna. They did not address the normal signal attenuation that Apple tried to spin the problem as. So, to me, providing the cases as a solution to the problem was an acknowledgement of the real problem.

hahahahaha!, love how every problem Apple ever faces they say it is only a few people and it really is not a problem

I honestly wouldn't put it past Samsung to get ahold of the device, try to find any weakness, no matter how thin, and then try to turn it into something to demonize Apple.

Planting people with bent phones? I absolutely would not put it past those bastages.

NINE! Out of millions. That doesn't mean there won't be more, but based on the internet stories, you'd think it was 9 million out of the 10 million sold. Geez.

I think Samsung is planting numerous people. lol

For sure... I'm guessing most can post pictures online but can't complain to Apple because they intentionally broke an iPhone that was purchased for the purpose of intentionally bending.

It's a ridiculous notion that other tablets wouldn't break if put in one's back pocket and sat on regularly (possibly on wooden/metal chairs with significant force being pushed pushed down on impact). Of course they would... and here we go back to the phone recycling bin at my office. Emptied weekly... a LOT of broken Androids. Maybe I should post a pic of it on reddit weekly and name/shame all the broken android makers? :p

Nah...

Only "9"? How did they come about this specific number? I'm not denying that this may be a small percentage of users who have been affected, but seriously, this seems rather odd that Apple is able to quote 9. I find it strange that their PR department chose to give this number as it raises more questions IMO than it answers.

What did they expect?

It's a good thing it bends. Don't want to go to the ER with a phone up your arss.
Time to invest in cargo pants concession.

They probably messed up iOS 8 too.

I tried to bend a 6+ at the Apple Store today. It did not bend!

You spun the facts. I thought is was funny that you had to spin the facts to provide an example of Apple spinning the facts.

So in the middle of Antennagate, with the design of the antenna already under question and widely believed to be the cause of the problem, Apple states that it's happy with the antenna design... and somehow it doesn't mean they are stating the antenna design in their opinion is not the cause (or one of the causes) of the problem?

So you're willing to read between the lines to support your spin, but you need an explicit statement in rebuttal. I didn't say they released a statement. I said they acknowledged it.

I don't need an explicit statement as rebuttal: about Apple acknowledging the antenna design problems only implicitly, I agree.

Holy cow, I had to go down 5 threads from the top to find this topic, for the first time in 3 days!

Wow, Bendgate/Bendgazi is over, now that the 9 out of 10,000,000 have been ratted out! Thank goodness.

Sorry, just had to point that out.

They didn't say what happened to the 9, did they?.......

I would like to know Apple’s “official” stance on this as well. I doubt people are returning their slightly bent iPhones back saying that they bent them. Will Apple actually check for very small bends? Plus don’t they replace the bodies anyway? If I had a small bend during my return policy and it’s not obvious I’m not saying a word about it.

??????? So they are bending on their own??????

Any physic mediums in your household bending spoons? Maybe they missed and got your phone too????

The phone is not real.

It's Deflection (and clearly bullshi#)
By Apple. But this isn't going to go away IMHO. The design is inherently weak. You are going to see an increasing stream of iPhone with reliability issues caused by case deformation as time moves on. Apple have called the bluff on the issue and whilst thst may satisfy the (ridiculous) tech press. It may just bite them in the ass down the road.

The 6s will be redesigned for sure. The 6 deding may likely be adjusted with out fanfare.

I await the first report of a I6 owner being refused an exchange of his bent iphone by apple with interest....

They probably messed up iOS 8 too.

I didn't claim that they could have possibly messed up the OS... however, bending phones or finding one person with a bent phone and trying to get market share out of it by exaggerating it is totally a page out of the Samsung playbook.
