I had a feeling this was the case... A few people reported accidental bending and now everyone else has tried to force it to bend - which it did, starting the global "pandemic."

The other 999,991 customers can't reach Apple customer support line because of the iOS 8.0.1 updategate.

They removed 8.0.1 almost as quickly as it got released. By the time I actually knew it was released, it was removed.

Not sure. How come the iPhone 5, 4s, and 4 bending didn't cause a media craze like this either?!

Someone on YouTube didn't intentionally take those phones and bend them like they did with the 6. Speculation is Samsung hadn't found out about him and paid him off back then! :D

Apple: bent iPhones are "extremely rare". In six days "a total of nine customers have contacted Apple with a bent iPhone 6 Plus". #bendghazi

WHEN will they finally make phones out of CARBON STEEL???

Screw it... with all of the sapphire talk why not just make a phone out of sapphire glass?!!!!!

It is the 8th wonder of the world after all judging by comments on the various forums...

If only nine customers complained, then why is the story and images "spreading like wildfire"?

Same video/handful of images being recycled...nay flogged on social and regular media for clicks, views, and retweets.

Welcome to the World Wide Web.

#BendGate is a Samsung Invention

Samsung instructed or hired people to buy the new iPhones and intentionally break them to cause this stupid warrantless trend. Just like their stupid commercials, this is just part of their propaganda to fight Apple.

This whole thing is a fantastic example of mass hysteria.

It's absolutely ridiculous. Ludicrous. The amount of people I've seen comments from online, from both journalists and comments from the public, saying that "Apple is on a downward spiral", "this is terrible that they're not commenting on such a bad flaw in their product", etc. is just insane.

I'm all for being balanced and fair to all technology companies. I respect Apple and it's products because I have found them to be very good.

However, I must say, what is it with Apple hate lately? It's like a disease. Why do the press feel the need to fabricate articles over unsubstantiated flaws in Apple products?

It needs to stop.

I think this is going to be the last aluminium frame iPhone. Can we just go back to steel frame ok?

Nine is not going to be the real number, in a year we will see literally thousands of people with wonky phones.

Mine will not be crooked but i look after my **** and take care of it.

Oh I see what you did there Apple PR department :D

NOW we give out a response to the bending thing because the iOS issue is WAY bigger.

Smart. Magician style.

This issue again. Always some defect and some argument over how widespread it was. I'm not even going to try to follow this.

Pretty bad when this is the best thing Apples competitors can come up with to attack the iPhone 6.
