Keynote's usually too long for my schedule lol given it gets close to my kids bedtime :D here in the UK I usually end up skulking out to the kitchen to watch to stop being ridiculed for being a nerd...

Yea I'm in the UK aswell, by the time I get home had a shower and dinner the event is usualy about to start at 6pm UK time. I'm interested to see what they do with the iPhone 6, two screen sizes is very appealing.

Don't think so

Second idea is maybe a basketball court. Remember Kobe Bryant showing up at Apple headquarters? Partnership with Nike for HealthKit?

Why would they build a basketball court if they're already on a college campus? I would imagine any college that has a 2500 seat venue probably has a gym...

Screw the iPhone I want a new Mac mini!! I need to replace my old one I use as my media center. I have a 5s and really could care less about the watch. Home automation stuff might be nice to finally get right and working, but that can wait, too.

Where's my new Mac mini?!?! Doug, I'm looking at you!

Lots of people seem to be expecting everything from Apple. It was only days ago we were looking forward to the iPhone 6.

Now it looks like iPhone 6 and iwatch, which will be fantastic. Don't expect a TV set, a new retina iMac, Thunderbolt Display, iPad, mobile payment system, etc etc

Apple's building a connected home in there, so everyone can see how homekit/healthkit/iWatch/iPhone work together.

I hope for Apple's/Tim's sake that they do roll out something warranting that structure. They know the height to which Apple is raising expectations by building this. If it turns out to be unnecessary or gimmicky, I don't believe even the most loyal of us fanboys will just let it go.

Unrelated - I keep thinking about how certain we all are that the numerous rumors of delays have come from independent sources. A company that has tens of billions in cash can easily initiate and seemingly independent rumors of delays-till-2015. That's a long way of saying how much I hope they come in and drop a arse-ton of new products at this announcement.

I know what it is! It's a giant safe like Scrooge Mcduck use to have in the cartoon ducktales. To hold all the money they'll be getting from iPhone and iWatch sales!

I dunno, the lack of color on the invite says to me iOS 8, iPods, iTunes, iPhones are not a big deal at this announcement. The sound stage being built outside of the Flint Center is basically saying a band is going to be there. Which makes sense given the fact Beats is a new acquisition with Apple. But if iPhone is not a big deal, what else could be? The watch just doesn't scream excitement as say a television or maybe a smart toilet lol

Guys, it is definitely a new building, built on the Sunken Garden location. Using the desktop Apple Maps app with flyover 3D, I tried to match the angle of the photo.

Don't expect a ... mobile payment system

Au contraire, methinks that will be a major component. Point-of-sale credit/debit processing will be massively overhauled next year, including NFC capability. That kind of change is hard to justify if it's not done in conjunction with a huge number of NFC-capable customer devices; with _one_ product (iPhone) out there dominating customer pockets, and product upgrade cycle dictating a huge percentage of those upgrading within the next year, seems NOW is the time for :apple: to introduce robust & slick NFC support for mobile payments. Might also be included in the iWatch just to make payment that much easier (don't have to dig phone out, just wave hand).
