Wow, 50 seats to Shanghai EVERY DAY?

Has Apple heard of video conferencing? They don't bother to use their own FaceTime, instead book cushy Business Class plane tickets? Give me a break.

You know what mining all that lithium does to the environment - all for those Li-Ion batteries that power your precious mobile devices? You know how much water is used to fab silicon chips? How many dangerous chemicals are used in the process and the environmental impact? How about the construction of all those spaceships and satellite buildings littering Silicon Valley?

Can't imagine Apple will be happy with this being promoted.

No way UA put this information up without clearing it through vendors. Saying they are a big customer is one thing, giving out these details... no way unless they are willing to see that customer go elsewhere.

it helps get the creative juices flowing ;)

its why we don't see him on stage much lately just pre recorded video's
think of all that time in the air/airports

Well that’s a lot of upper class privilege. Must be nice to go supervise employees making pennies a day.
Look if you are paying someone north of 175k a year (and I would say thats the minimum salary of anyone making these excursions...) in charge of products or production in the billions ,dropping 6-8 k for a business class fare so they are at the top of their ( which is your...) game to do business on arrival is chump change.

Hmm United has double daily service to PVG using a 787-8 and a 787-9, thats 84 seats in total daily. That means apple is filling 60% of their business class product. The other thing is, UA utilizes their older style business class seats on the 788/789 currently which is the same exact seat on their transcontinental 757's. Those seats are decent for the 5-6hr transcontinental flights but horrible in in the sleeping position if your tall or have big feet like me because the foot cubby is so small. I can't think most of those apple employees would be too happy knowing China Southern has a better business product on that route. The HKG, LHR and a couple other routes are served by the 777-300ER which has the new "Polaris" business class that actually has way more room and all seats have direct aisle access in a 1-2-1 configuration.
No doubt they are getting a deep discount from UA from their fares thats pre-negotiated.

I am not sure people seem to think this is somehow bad or embarrassing for Apple. If anyone is going to be mad it will be the account manager at United! Now all his competitors know exactly what they can gun for and will be rushing to place bids at Apple to win their business!! It may end up saving money for Apple and a good thing.

Apple has many suppliers in China, which explains why the company sends so many employees to the Shanghai Pudong Airport.

Dont they have their employees already working in Shangai, living there, doing business daily?

I don't know who leaked this information, but heads are going to roll!!!! The bottom of the image reads: "This is confidential information. Please do not share outside of United." It's very hard to make it out, because it's 3 pixels tall text, but you can kind of confirm that's what's written on it.

Very good eye. Looks like you are correct. Heads are likely going to roll over this leak.

Did you know that over 8 million people fly with a commercial airline each day?

sshhh they are trying to point out some perceived hypocrisy by Apple. It's the same as when Tim Cook wants to help minorities but has billions of dollars in his bank account and therefore cannot possibly mean well or anything because he's rich and doesn't care!1!

Why do they fly to London so much?

The others make sense in terms of suppliers and so on but Apple doesn't build anything in the UK, their only real presence here are the stores and Beats One.
London Heathrow is a major hub airport. So longhaul flights arrive/depart many destinations, along with making shorthaul European connections.

They should just open their own airlines. I know call it "iAir"

Not sure how Cook responds, but Jobs would've cancelled all reservations personally and would send someone to find a new airline where such details don't get out in public.

Jobs was that definition of the fine line between Genius and insanity :p
