that’s crazy....800+ credit score and still 17.99%. Mine is very similar but I would expect the interest rate to be lower. I declined the card because of this.

i agree! same thing for me. I declined because I thought it should have been lower.

I still accepted because I do not plan to ever carry a balance, going to use this in place of my daily debit purchases and just pay it each week as pending things post

Doesn’t it automatically generate a new number with each purchase?

It does not generate a new card number. Apparently the wallet app has one card number you can use for online transactions. You can only generate a new number if you think the old one is compromised. Disappointing that it doesn’t generate a unique number for each transaction.

Almost the same story as me. 727 was the score they showed on my denial. I did find some late payments in my history on a credit account that I paid off in full and closed. My fault, I don't remember the circumstances but for some reason I did a "then I won't pay you anything, that'll show you" kind of thing when they wouldn't help me with a customer service issue but, yeah, was a few years ago and the account is closed. I could probably call up that creditor and see if they would get rid of those late payment reports in good faith since I've since paid it off since then.
Same here. 723. No late payments since 2013. Called TU and they confirmed no recent past dues reported. :(

My current bank card lets me have a card in my name and my wife has a card in her name on the same account, where we share the limit. Can this be done on the Apple Card?

Why you would trust your Finances to Apple is Crazy. who knows what they can pull.
  • Apple has a billion iTunes accounts, all with credit cards.
  • Their online and retail stores process millions of credit card transactions every day.
  • People who buy devices with cellular provide Apple with their SSN.
  • People who finance their devices through Apple loan programs provide their SSN.
  • Hundreds of millions of people worldwide have their credit cards loaded into Apple Pay.
  • Apple's iCloud Keychain and iCloud Drive probably store all kinds of finance-related logins and other information for you as well as hundreds of millions of others.
  • After working in the finance sector, and knowing many developers who work for banks, I trust Apple way, way, way more than any bank I'm familiar with.
  • In fact, the only thing that makes me nervous is that this is through Goldman Sachs.
In my opinion, it's not crazy at all to trust Apple with my financials. Hundreds of millions of us already do.

Got an invite, not going to signup though. I like the look of the card. Not a fan of credit cards though. Would like this as a debit.

Question. Are you stuck with the APR and credit limit you originally got during sign up? Anyone know how it’s review or how quick these can change? If at all?

Longtime lurker here!

Though I established credit in February 2019 thanks to student loans, I was approved for the Apple Card.

Credit score (TU) was 554 before the GS hard pull, limit $1K which is more than enough for me given that I don’t spend on much besides prescriptions and haircuts, and APR of 23.99%.

For anyone that cares, FICO score was at the border of fair and good.

Good to know people with sub 500 and 600 scores will get approved. Apple really went easy on allowing a lot of people to get the card.

Someone earlier said they chatted with support and were told you can have your interest and limit reviewed after 6 months...

You’re comparing a centurion card vs the Apple Card. You need to spend at minimum $250k per year for that card. I would be willing to wager most people who have the Apple Card don’t make that in 2. So ya I could see why someone would want to see the centurion card. Any Tom dick and Jane can get an Apple Card with relatively decent credit. This isn’t an exclusive card people.

I wasn't comparing, just saying there are many card unboxing videos out there.

Apple Card has been heavily marketed and given it's by invite only, it is fairly exclusive right now. So people creating videos about it is a given. They don't go viral, but then neither do the "<my new fancy gadget> unboxing" videos. Obviously videos of exclusive cards will have a higher view count.

These limits suck.

Looks like others making six figures with scores in the 800+ range are all still getting $6,500-$8,000 mostly.

My two primary cards both have $40k limits. I’ve had a few vacations where $6,500 wouldn’t come close to covering us.

Anyone get a $15k+ limit?

Someone on this forum got $20k. That’s the highest I’ve seen.

I was informed I was finally allowed to apply for an Apple iCard and I received instant approval. However, Apple/GS gave me a rate of 17.99%, despite my having perfect credit, which is not the lowest reported rate. That's annoying, but I don't carry a balance, so it's unlikely to affect me. $9k limit. I actually don't plan on using the iCard unless it's for a promotion in connection with buying an Apple product.

Got signed up, 10k limit with 12.99% rate. My credit score was 832. I got an email today saying the physical card would be delivered next Monday.

A couple of things I noticed about the card in the Wallet app. There is an etched parallax effect to it that changes as your phone moves. Pretty cool. Also, the card starts out completely white, but as you begin using the card it changes color. Currently it has some yellow tones on it, with just some small charges. My guess is the colors will become darker the more charges you ring up? We’ll see. Still, a pretty novel approach.
