I’ve had mislabeled charges semi-frequently on my Apple Card. I figured it was tied to the GPS; the wrong locations were always nearby where I actually used the card. Always a manual chip insert as well.

Waters Hardy and whatever need to stop being so lazy and answer their phones.

Never gonna hire them for anything!

Hi Rafagon,

I understand your frustration. Unfortunately, we had to turn off our phones due to the massive amount of phone calls we were receiving due to this error. As of now, all ATT has allowed us to do is file an "incident report" that we are told will eventually be acted upon. We are sorry that we were not able to answer your phone call but hopefully, the issue will be resolved soon.

Thank You,

Waters Hardy & Co, P.C.

I’ve had this charge this morning. Frankly, you need to be a little thick in order not to do 2+2 .... it’s the same exact amount as your AT&T bill... on the same day as your AT&T bill... your AT&T bill has not been charged separately.... Apple Card frequently mislabels charges.... what genius could solve the mystery? But, no of course, some people immediately call the police/the internets/macrumors for help!!

I haven't used it personally, but mislabeling charges is a very bad thing for a credit card. I'm curious why people continue to use it if this is actually the case.

Regarding the other firm though, even if it's a small percentage of those customers calling, it could still be a large adjustment to the normal call traffic of that firm.

Had the same thing happen to me about a month ago. A charge to Texas Roadhouse showed up as charged to Great American Cookies about 1/4 mile away. I used the app to report an incorrect entry and it appeared correctly a short time later.

Frequently? For example?

I just feel really bad for the targeted business. Small problem in the apple-world but man, what a rough week this small business has had. I feel bad for them.

This isn’t small in the Apple world. There’ll be people standing tall for this.

Hopefully this is resolved in the next few days before I pay my bill. Not that it’s a huge deal, but still.

First, the confusion here isn't good for the customers or Waters Hardy.

Second, it bothers me a little that this error happened in an automated billing system-- it feels like a symptom of a bigger problem and bigger problems in billing systems are bad...

If it bothers you in billing...consider the issues in credit bureau reporting.

This is both harmless and funny!

Maybe they should have stuck to an industry they were good at. While an Apple Card holder, I cringe at the idea of them using finance products to build their stock value to be able to keep showing increased revenue. GE went down that route, and in the end they really didn't build anything anymore. Their CEO was celebrated at the time, but it destroyed the company.
Oh good lord, Chicken Little. The sky isn’t falling, and this doesn’t mean anything. Chuckle a little. It’s good for you.

Always wondered how these get mixed up. First payment I made on my new Porsche showed up as Lamborghini on my checking account. Mini panic attack thinking someone hacked my checking account for their Lambo 🤣

You can’t even be serious with this take.

This error doesn't seem to have particularly bad implications (except for the poor Waters Hardy & Co), but it does make you wonder what other errors are happening, or could happen in the future. You really never want to see *any* errors when it comes to your finances.

It's probably just a small issue they've had to deal with over many larger issues they deal with daily. It's really not so serious they can't handle it with a blink of an eye.

Based on their post history, poster was just joking 🙂

Hopefully the publicity will be a net positive...

ETA: a net positive for Waters Hardy & Co, obviously.

Relax. You think other card issuers are perfect or something? Lol...you people are priceless. One minor problem and it’s all bad.
