just an fyi, since the federal reserve announced last week that they lowered the interest rates to as low as 12.99%, ya'll with credit cards, any really, should be calling up your bank and asking if they can lower your cards interest rate. i called bank of america and was told the new interest rates would become in effect as of september 1st and my interest would be lowered to 13.99%. currently it's at 14.24%. they also said i can call back again after that point and ask for another reduction. so if i were ya'll, start calling.

Don’t beat me up. From older generation. But, this from Goldman Sachs Agreement.

Making Payments
This section explains when you must pay us each month, how to pay us, and how we apply those payments to your Account.
At the beginning of each month, we will send you a Monthly Statement reflecting activity on your Account that occurred since the previous Monthly Statement, such as new Transactions, interest and Daily Cash Adjustments. It will also identify your New Balance, your Monthly Balance (if you do not have a financing plan, your Monthly Balance is equal to your New Balance), the Minimum Payment Due and the payment due date.
Your payment is due by 11:59 P.M. ET on the last calendar day of each month.
You must pay at least your Minimum Payment Due by the payment due date each month. You may pay all or part of the outstanding balance on your Account at any time without penalty.
HOW TO PAY
You can make electronic payments using Apple Wallet to initiate electronic fund transfers (e.g., ACH or debit) from your (i) Apple Cash account or (ii) a bank account(s) with a financial institution located in the U.S. (each, a "Payment Source Account").
When making payments:
• Do not send us cash.
• Pay only using U.S. dollars.
• You should not pay more than your Account balance. We do not pay interest on credit balances.
• Each day, you may make a total maximum of five (5) electronic payments on your Account.

Can I take that to mean we will get a paper statement? I don’t do many online payments from my checking account. Only online payments may keep me from applying.

to my knowledge, there is no online site where you can make payments to your card. you pay directly from your linked bank account in your apple wallet. can someone confirm this? this is what i got out of the info on how you pay your card on the apple youtube page.

Not sure about a due date , weird because I never seen a due date for credit card application unless it was for a promotion

It’s on the last day of the month, for everyone.

Edit: Nevermind, I realized y’all were talking about the invite e-mail, not your payment due date.

Thanks, I wasn't clear, sorry. Was talking about a paper statement that you would send a check back for payment. When they say do not send cash, that makes me believe you would receive a paper statement. I know banks are trying to paperless and they probably wouldn't openly advertise that.

yea, i believe all transaction statements are found within the apple wallet app. the same way you can request a transaction statement currently on your apple cash, is probably the same way you can request a statement for your apple card. so i think that would mean that you can't send a check, it's all via the app.

This makes sense, but someone said there was a "due date" once you get the invite stating you have to sign up by 8/15. I wonder why there would be that due date?
That date is for all the guinea pigs...the rest of us are after that date. ;)

Rackin up that change! Hahaha

Hey that's $.12 more than people that won't use credit cards. Extrapolate that amount out over a year and you've got $40 free.

Oh ya! Im trying to use this card as much as possible. Sucks that BassPro Shops doesn’t accept applepay! Grrrr!! Im buying a $600 angler kayak and other gear, I will only get 1%. Probably should use my Amazon Prime card instead.

Depends what you charge. I usually charge 3K a month and pay off each month. That's 30.00 a month just a 1%. Some of those purchases would qualify for 2 or 3%.

The 30.00 seems on par with my current card from my bank.

Has anyone received an invitation today? I'm wondering if they will be rolling this out every day till launch or just yesterday.
Someone posted earlier today that their co-worker got an email invite this morning and applied / got approved.

If everyone's going to be able to get the card eventually, why can't they invite people to the preview based on the order when they signed up for notifications? I get the random selection part if there's only a limited amount of spots (e.g. WWDC tickets), but if it's a preview of something that will be available to everyone eventually, I don't see why someone who signed up for notifications on Monday should be invited to the test the card before someone who had expressed interest since day 1 when they announced the card

Wouldn't Amazon Prime card be 1% at BPS as well, though?

It's just like camping outside an Apple Store for the launch of a new iPhone and then being told by Apple that because they only have a limited number of stock for the day they're going to sell it based on random selection

I agree with you. I signed up right after the event and at this point feel like it's unlikely I'll get the email invite. I'm not sure Apple understands how to reward loyalty and enthusiasm.

Oh darn! That’s right, I believe you’re correct. I keep thinking their rewards are better, but that’s only when you purchase from Amazon you get 5%.

It's 5% at Amazon, 2% at groceries and restaurants (same as the Apple Card if you pay via Apple Pay), and 1% everywhere else.

It showed up in my wallet!! Shocked with a 816 Transunion score that it’s only $7500 limit and 17% but I pay off anyways. Figured I’d get at least $10k. My Discover card has a $22k limit.

Very excited though!! Card ordered as well
